In the depths of the oceans live beings that only some have seen, those who have ventured into them and seen the fury of the beasts rise.

A union between water and fire that comes out of its mouth, generating strange effects in the atmosphere of the distant ocean.

Do not disturb the creatures, they do not make themselves known unless humans seek them out, they can read us and know that we seek them out for different reasons.

Or do they only exist because we imagine them? It is an unsolved mystery like so many of the mysteries of the marine world.

Design process

The design is made with 5 images and in 15 layers.

The first layer is just a plain colour and then the image of the lighthouse is placed and intermingled with the background.

This image was arranged in three layers with fusions focal light, normal light and soft light.

On top of it I placed the image of the coloured waves in three layers that are then interspersed in the animation, with fusions lighten, darken and focus light.

The image of the boat I placed it over the waves, previously erasing the background and in two layers with fusions focal light and soft light.

Later on the other side of the design I placed one of the dragons, the one with the whole body. I placed it in two layers with darkening and focal light fusions.

Finally I designed the final part with the eye of the dragon in three layers and the last one blurring everything better the centre of the eye. Focal light, overlay and normal merges respectively. Before the last layer I placed one more of the coloured waves with fusion focal light.

The animation is completely done in After Effects, working the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for a better contrast.

En las profundidades de los océanos viven unos seres que sólo algunos han visto, aquellos que se han adentrado en ellos y que han visto surgir la furia de las bestias.

Unión entre el agua y el fuego que sale de su boca, generando efectos extraños en el ambiente del océano lejano.

No molesten a las criaturas, ellas no se dan a conocer salvo que el ser humano las busque, ellas pueden leernos y saber que las buscamos por diferentes motivos.

¿O será que solamente existen porque las imaginamos? Es un misterio sin resolver como tantos que encierra el mundo marino.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño está realizado con 5 imágenes y en 15 capas.

La primera capa es sólo un color liso para luego colocar la imagen del faro y entremezclarlo con el fondo.

Esta imagen fue dispuesta en tres capas con fusiones luz focal, normal y luz suave.

Sobre ella coloqué la imagen de las olas de colores en tres capas que luego en la animación se intercalan, con fusiones aclarar, oscurecer y luz foca.

La imagen del barco lo coloqué sobre las olas, borrando previamente el fondo y en dos capas con fusiones luz focal y luz suave.

Posteriormente en el otro lado del diseño puse uno de los dragones, el que tiene el cuerpo entero. Lo dispuse en dos capas con fusiones oscurecer y luz focal.

Finalmente diseñé la parte final con el ojo del dragón en tres capas y la última borrando todo mejor el centro del ojo. Fusiones luz focal, superponer y normal respectivamente. Antes de la última capa coloqué una más de las olas de colores con fusión luz focal.

La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
