Una Carta ❤️ (ES-EN)

El paso del tiempo borra las letras que una vez fueron escritas, o las refuerza.

En este diseño mezclo el tiempo, los libros antiguos, millones le palabras dichas y la melancolía.

El hombre añora otros tiempos o recuerda el pasado.

The passage of time erases the letters that were once written, or reinforces them.

In this design I mix time, old books, millions of spoken words and melancholy.

Man longs for other times or remembers the past.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño esta realizado con 5 imágenes y 17 capas.

Primero elegí un papel antiguo para el fondo duplicándolo y rotándolo para conseguir cambios de texturas. Luego le agregué las letras fusionándolas con lo anterior en tres capas distintas.

Cree nubes de colores en distintas capas con un pincel de manchas, para dar algo de color al diseño.

A un lado puse el reloj y los libros. Ellos hacen alusión al paso del tiempo.

Y en el otro lado coloque el rostro de un hombre joven, recuerdos del pasado.

Tanto el reloj, los libros y el hombre use modos de fusión distintos y filtros para realzar los bordes como si estuvieran dibujados en el papel.

La animación la realice totalmente en After Effects, usando efectos de luces y variando las imágenes en su opacidad y en su posición, eso hace que aparezca o desaparezca una determinada capa y da la sensación de movimiento.

Design process

The design is made with 5 images and 17 layers.

First I chose an old paper for the background by duplicating and rotating it to get changes of textures. Then I added the letters merging them with the previous in three different layers.

Create coloured clouds in different layers with a blob brush, to add some colour to the design.

On one side I put the clock and the books. They allude to the passing of time.

And on the other side I put the face of a young man, memories of the past.

Both the clock, the books and the man I used different blending modes and filters to enhance the edges as if they were drawn on the paper.

The animation was done entirely in After Effects, using light effects and varying the opacity and position of the images, which makes a certain layer appear or disappear and gives the sensation of movement.
