A perfect day to perform aboard The Excelsior , a beautiful 77' Smack that was lovingly resored in 1989 by the Exelsior Trust.
this video is us performing Bathside Bay written by @queenoftheword. Every year Harwich hosts a shanty festival atracting singers and musicians from around the world. We are locals so we act as pop up Pirates and play here and there for the whole weekend. Here we were joined by the firstmate of the Pioneer anothe Smack round from Brightlingsea for the weekend.
The festival is well attended and thousands visit to hear shantys and music ,see the re-inactments that happen and soak up the History of Harwich . We had a wonderfull time and are sharing some of that here and on Hive with all of you
