I keep on testing these live streams, but also I think I can take advantage of them and share some of my thoughts off the cuff, no rehearsal. I've already made posts about this, about my ideas regarding the current situation. I've already made videos about it, but it almost feels like I can't say it enough. Like, it doesn't matter how many times I repeat myself. worth discussing this. There's a reason why we are here, and there's multiple reasons why we are here. But there's also something that comes to mind every time I think about why things have played out as they have. It is the definition of insanity to do the same things over and over, expecting different results. So with that in mind, I really think we need to stop being insane, and we need to start experimenting. Asgard talked about it on a PICD blog, and I think that is the right mindset. I think it is time for all of us to do so. And that really means looking at yourself in the mirror and asking yourself if the old ways, if you will, are working, if they ever have worked, if they will continue to work. I keep on seeing people being downvoted still, even at these prices, because of them repeating articles or making poor AI content. And I really want to caution against this, not because I want Hive to be filled with Slop, because I really don't think so. that that's a good thing either, but because there's a better way to handle, if you will, that sort of stuff. We can't become a lynching mob that when we find somebody who's not good enough, pure enough, we automatically react like an immune system, you know, ready to attack. I think that way of being has failed. And I want to add something to this, so you guys see that I'm not coming out of the blue. There is some theory behind this, and you guys can look it up, don't believe me. There's a reason why YouTube removed downboats from their videos. There's a psychological cost to getting downvoted that is not monetary. So, this is not to say, that some things should not be downvoted. It's just that the criteria for attacking, if you will, has to be a lot less loose, way more strict. In the same way that maybe YouTube will take down a channel sharing illegal content, maybe that is the line that we should be drawn. I wrote a blog. Yesterday, yesterday, I need more caffeine. Talking about specifically this girl that joined about two weeks ago. Stalkers actually went to see her as a really big TikTok creator, onboarded her to like to, which I think TikTok and Instagram content creators, that is where probably they should land. The first comment, the first person to greet her was Hive Watchers. I say this, not because I have something against logic, I don't. I think logic is a result of the culture of what the people want on Hive. It's kind of, protect the reward pool. Here's our protector. And he's kind of just following what the culture is. But I do want people to consider how it must feel. Remove your biases for a second. How it must feel that somebody invites you to a platform, right? You log in. It's a good-looking girl, you know, she puts a picture of herself in the beginning, because, of course, that's what the looking girls do these days on social media. And the first comment is Hive Watchers. An account that is obviously some sort of police. You know nothing about Hive, but. It is obvious this is some sort of police happening there, warning you about, you know, not using real content, AI, and all that stuff. It's not welcoming. And sadly, this person stopped posting. I don't know if that's what triggered it. I really don't know. But I do know that's not helping. In the chat that I was having with the community, We were talking to Grantree on Hive Thrive. We were discussing, you know, like, obviously there's things out of our control. The way that the markets are manipulated is utterly disgusting, and for some reason it's not illegal, but currently. But we've also have our blame to carry. We also have something that we could be doing better. And if I have to say, I have to condense it to something. It's how we treat newcomers, how we treat people that are here now, how welcoming we are. How good are we at onboarding people? And once we do, how good are we at keeping them around? If you guys want the real bear-proof system as users, as long as there's thousands of users, even if the price goes down. The place won't die. And as long as there's thousands of thousands of users, the price will find a bomb. I keep on seeing, this is something kind of sad, actions on Hive going down. I built on SNAPIIO a while back. a way to see how many people are online and interacting and stuff. And there are some days where the number goes back to what I would say, the regular day looks like 3,000, 3,500 people online. But there's some times where I see it under 1500. And that is kind of sad to me. That is kind of depressing. I said this also yesterday in the post, so I'm going to say it in the video. Regardless of what happens, there's a lot of things I rescue from this whole experience. For one, I've learned a tonne. My doggies are chasing a toad, I think. And that is obviously very valuable. We have a collection of apps that me and my friends have been working on, have been building. Shout out to Tip Fox I'm using his enhancement to my open pods app for this video that I think are extremely valuable and that in many ways can survive hive. I just find kind of sad that they might have to. You see what I mean? I don't want to make this video end on a sour note. I still want to feel like there's things to be grateful for, and I am. But I do want to end it with an invitation to change, an invitation to YOLO, an invitation for you, if you really care about this experiment of ours, and you want to see it continue about you putting in right now, putting the shoulder, you know. and carrying your load. @steevc: For the HW thing we have to manage that somehow. Either talk to HW when you onboard someone or make the newbie understand that this is an automatic comment that sets some expectations. It should not be putting people off if they come with good intentions as we can't afford that. I think it's legitimate that people can give some proof of who they are, especially if they have a big following elsewhere as we do get imposters. A Hive account has value and we need to know it is legitimate. I don't know if HW will persist, but if they do then we need to find ways to make it work for good.
