@seki1: I agree with holozr, the glasses do somewhat fit you. And you should try listening to this in 2x.. quite amusing and surprising still clear😂😂 I think there are a lot of services doing this though, I'm not really versed in them so I can't say for sure. But for the Google signing, I know Leo finance has done that, using a vault to keep your keys and stuff. Then for the emancipation cost, I like the delegation idea. The business idea does seem sustainable and it would for sure bring some inflow of users but one can't really know what the business would ask for in return and we'll in my opinion it seems like too much a risk. The emancipation fee is also good though, but isn't it the same as the premium 😂?
@holoz0r: First, the glasses suit you anyway. As long as they let you see, it doesn't matter. Vision suits you. Secondly, good to hear a voice that I've read a lot, but never heard . five minute mark: Sounds like a similar way in which web wallets worked on WAX, with WAX cloud wallet. Wax had its own flaws, but it was / is easy to use. Even had the ability to log in with Google / FB / Other auth services. sustainability: Take a hardcoded beneficiary. You only get it back if you take custody of your account. The longer you take to /take/ custody back, the less of a percentage of that beneficiary the user gets back. I think that it would be important to teach people the sovereignty of their account. I don't like the delegation for votes model, personally and I typed this at the moment exactly as you said "some people won't like this" 😝 account creation I think I have a bunch of account creation tokens, and I know many community accounts too. I would be happy to "sponsor" the creation of many accounts, using those tokens, but ... I think it would important to have people be on hive for the right reason because they have something to say. Beneficiary could be a solution here as well. That way, sponsorship of an account is a gamble. emancipation I think "with holding" a portion of rewards with beneficiary (on a countdown, as a percentage) might be an interesting model an ongoing fomo to do it as soon as possible without it being out of reach, or having goal posts that change all the time. I like the way your brain works, feel way more connected through this video. :)
@keithtaylor: I enjoyed watching your video. But I kept thinking, "Isn't this what Waivio does?" Because when I first looked at Waivio, their frontend seemed (from memory) to be focused on joining as a guest or full Hive account. However, they have now refocused on social shopping. Anyway, I'm not sure how this differs from your ideas. But Waivio is open source. So maybe it's a good starting point? It looks like they encourage guest accounts to link to a new Hive account. Which seems to be a good way to only emancipate those who want to be emancipated. !BBH
