Okay, alright, we are official recordings. This is an attempt to demonstrate this app that my brother and I have been working on for a year. You're going to see on the main screen, the emulator for Android running on my computer, and then I'm going to overlay on the right an actual phone that I'm also recording the screen, working as the passenger. So the emulator running on the computer is the driver. It will be the one receiving their requests. And the one on the right, the smaller one, the iOS device, that is the passenger setting up the request. So right now I've already logged in. You log in with, obviously I'm going to discuss this in detail in other posts, but any Hive user can log in to both apps. but the Hive users who want to be drivers would have to join driver communities and they would have to be approved by the administrators of those communities. And that's a safety thing that we've been considering. So anyways, the way that it currently works, we have a very simple system to use where a client, a passenger, would be able to drop a pin. where they want to go. So I can say I want to go right here. This is in between some towns. And then you will get a screen to offer how much you're willing to pay. It's all in HBD, but we treat it like good dollars, so let's say I'm going to pay $2 for that right. Once you do that, then the driver, as you can see, would get a request. This, of course, is using the people that are nearby and also who is available, who's online. if it's a community that the passenger prefers, et cetera, et cetera. There's a lot of layers before even getting to the step. Then, the driver would accept. Then, as you can see on my screen, on the iOS, it tells me that a driver has accepted and that Andres Mena is coming, which would be me. And then here I set up a route so I can use this route to play me emulating, picking up the client. So it would start moving, and here on the emulator, you would see then the little car move as well to let you know that the driver is on its way. It recenters obviously to where you are, but it also has a warning. So when the driver gets about 100 meters from the pickup location, which of course is the text from the position of your phone, then it will let you know. There's a few bugs still that we need to work on, and of course the UI is going to be vastly improved. This is MVP. And we are piggyback writing on Google Maps and also Apple Maps to make this also more pragmatic to develop and more reliable. As you can see on the emulator, I'm going to move the thing aside so you can see it for a second. The car is closer to the pickup area, and so there's a small delay. But it gets more accurate as the car becomes closer to the client, which makes more sense, and it reduces on polling, battery consumption, just efficiency. So once the driver has arrived or is close to arriving, then it would show up. On the screen, this time again, in a bug, it was working a second ago. I will let you know that the driver's outside. Now it actually is a little further, but that's because I set up the route a little off. The driver then would say, arrive the pickup, which will let the passenger know that the driver is ready, and you should go outside, take the car. And then the driver would start the trip. Some locations have no name, so it doesn't really matter, that doesn't matter because as long as the locations on the GPS coordinates are correct, the driver can open up maps and see exactly where they're supposed to go. So this is where we are right now, this is where it's supposed to go, so obviously you would use, again, this is Google Maps, you use this to drive to destination, and then you would just go back to the app once you have arrived. The completing the trip is this simple. The driver complete the trip, and then you would go into the payment screen. The payment screen would trigger then the passenger to make the payment. Obviously, we ideally want the users to use HBD or use Hive to make the payments. But you could also pay with cash, and eventually we want to integrate other cryptocurrencies as well, but this is, again, MVP. So for the sake of this demo, then the driver would mark as the customer just paid them cash for the ride. They would pay payment received, and then that's it. Then the trip would be open. Now, the next step is, of course, leveraging this with the Hive blockchain so that there's an incentive to use it. So if you guys see here on the screen, on both, there's a little bell. on the driver app and also on the passenger app and what that allows you to do is do reviews of your experiences so right now I'm gonna pick one doesn't really matter when any other ones I've done in the last few days as we've been demoing this and I can leave a review and write whatever I want again some this all this interface can be improved you submit the review, that goes into the Hive blockchain, so do the check-ins for the drivers. And that gives also people accountability, it gives them, you know, an incentive to protect the reputation, etc., etc. And then the drivers would get, of course, I'm going to have a bug right there. Of course, but the drivers will be able to also review the passengers, so that's the other thing. I don't know why that crashed. But that's the next step. So obviously we're like 98, 97% done with the app. There's some bugs still missing, but I believe that after just a couple weeks more, we will be able to open up the code, which is kind of the idea, doing some cleaning. and then possibly inviting other people to collaborate as well. I have my brother Nicole, but he hasn't said anything. He's currently monitoring the back end. We are using a very minimal back end just to coordinate the fairs, but all the information of the rides, all the users, and even the filtering of bad actors and all that is being used. with the Hive blockchain. Anyways, that is it for this short video. Hopefully, this is something exciting that you guys can see the potential of like we have, and yeah.

@chinito: that's cool. who need uber or grab?? :)

@quinnertronics: Very interesting...I like the idea of cutting out the "middle man." But the whole background check thing provides a safety factor for Uber, with a cost I'm sure... And people might happily pay extra for that safety factor. I'm not a fan of Uber so I do commend you for trying!

@agmoore: It sounds like a fantasy, but if you can make it work....wow :)

@latinowinner: all the best

@alonicus: Definitely an interesting project ! My instant thought on the regulation angle was that (at least here in the UK), taxi services are very highly regulated despite all Uber's lobbying. Generally, a taxi will need a license from the local authority and very specific insurance that provides third party cover for passengers, as well as a vehicle meeting local and national standards (and a more stringent MOT safety test). In many cases, local authorities also set the fares that can be charged. So offering Hive Taxi as a software solution for existing taxi companies would be a good option, but it would be competing with the existing control and booking software they use (which is in some cases pretty advanced, including sending SMS messages to customers with arrival ETA's, driver details etc). I think the key thing at least initially would be to stay away from the financial and compliance side of things. But the UK isn't really a core Hive place, and regulations might be more relaxed in other countries. Probably are, actually, here in the UK we are probably the most over regulated country in the world !

@sagarkothari88: All the best. Hive Taxis sounds like a good project idea. Let's disrupt. Let's kick in the ass of uber, lyft, ola via Apps from

@tengolotodo: What is Uber, they are not allowed where I live in the UK! Sounds an interesting project and good luck with it and pitching it to suitable companies.

@ijebest: This is excellently a perfect idea. It will announce Hive all around the world. Many people because of it will be onboarded into Hive. This is extremely a gorgeous idea, get them real, I like it!
