Hello, my friends, I want to make this video and talk to you guys about something, because I think it's, I think, I think I am learning some important lessons. For the last couple weeks, I've been taking the time to use TikTok again. And I know that I trashed TikTok in the past, and I, and I said I hated it, and I wasn't going to go back. And it's not that I want to go back to Web2, I really don't. But I also think I would be shooting myself on the foot if I don't try to pick some lessons from... from Web2. Why is it that people love TikTok so much? Of course, there's some negative elements to it, too, you know, the whole brain dead, doom scrolling kind of thing. But I think that there is a lot of value also there to recover, to extract from the UX, from the user experience. And one of the conclusions I think I've arrived at is that TikTok is what it is because it has a space for people to debate ideas. As a matter of fact, if you go to TikTok right now, it doesn't really matter what time of the day, you will find somebody doing a live and asking for people to come on and debate whatever topic it could be. It could be religion, it could be, you know, politics, it could be a combination of both. It could be epistemology about philosophy, etc. You name it, it's there. And also... a lot of people are doing live shows, you know, they'll be like a singer-songwriter with a guitar, talking to the audience and, you know, playing songs and whatnot. And I think that is more or less where I want to take open pods, hangouts, on Snappy 2. With that in mind, I want to ask my fellow Hyvians, my friends, what would it take for you to use Snappy, use the... soon as well, three speak in the same way. What do you think it's missing? Because one of the things that I've noticed, and this is basically the only feature that I think we don't currently have, is the ability to kind of create a background, to put a little stage together. So it's kind of themed. And maybe a better way of discovery could also be argued that I need. But so today I started working on it this morning, and I'm setting up a system soon to be live on Snappy I.O. Snappy Mobile will take me a little longer so that you can set up a background, a stage, if you will, to host your event. But I want to know what else do you guys think needs to exist in order for us to tap on, if you will, to that audience, the people that love doing these sort of things. Again, technology-wise, I think we are basically there. Right now, you can host your own show. You can... invite people to come in and talk to you. You have moderation skills as well. You can kick them out, all that good stuff that you need in order to do these sort of events. And if you have a premium account, you will be able to do video as well, which is something that will be enabled very soon once we work out, you know, how to get premium accounts. I'll be through delegations. So there'll be a few ways for you to get a premium account. But also, I think if we go onboard content creators, we would... sponsor premium accounts for them, you know, people that have following on web too. But again, this short video is because I am of the idea that this could be a really powerful thing for onboarding, and of course onboarding should be the focus. I'm pretty sure that we all should share. And I want to ask, I want to ask my fellow Hiveans if they agree with me, and if they do... How, I guess I'm asking for collective wisdom, would you go about it? Let me know in the comments.
@seckorama: I'm not sure exactly how I'd answer that, but I think it's crucial for a video or short to go viral, and that can only happen if you can share it on Web 2.0 social networks—meaning you can post the video directly to your feed so it plays and runs right there on that social network, rather than just seeing a link without an image.
@draftknight21: More live demos of OpenPods would nail this, seeing it in action beats all the specs.
