Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, welcome back to another podcast, John Goes podcast. So, big news, the big news is that I'm home. I'm home after two and a half weeks on the road, and boy, what a trip it was. Hey, look, you know what, like, as trips go, that was pretty good. I got to spend some time with my son last weekend, which was fantastic. you know, the trip was great, you know, I get to meet so many awesome people on the road, you know, it just, it was just very enjoyable, and I hope it was rewarding for everyone I engaged with and met along the way. So, yeah, but I'm home now after two and a half weeks, and it's a quick turnaround, because I'm actually back on the road. Saturday night until Wednesday. So that's a quick trip up north, northern Alberta here, which is my favorite part of the province other than the mountains. Just beautiful, beautiful country up there, the Peace River country, and I'll take pictures. I always take pictures when I go up there. But in the fall, it's extra nice. So, yeah, we're going to have some fun on this trip coming up, but something really hit me tonight. While I'm, this was the first night I was home, first dinner I was home with my family, and the little things really, were really nice when I got home. Tonight, the little thing, spending dinner around the table with the family, a little thing, you know. Not a major thing sometimes we take for granted, but tonight I got to spend time with my family around the table. My dog, the little thing, just seeing my dog after, you know, two and a half weeks, and she's extremely happy, you know, just the little things, these little things that make life so, so sweet, you know, it's not, you know, sometimes you always think it's, oh, you know, I need to get the money, I need to have success, I need to have this, and this is, I'm really trying to, frame this so it doesn't look like I'm bragging or anything, but I had that in my life before. I had the quote-unquote money. I had the success, but you know what I didn't have? I didn't have the little things. That's what matters to me now more than ever. I can't even express to you guys how awesome it was to sit down to a home-cooked meal tonight with my dog. If you hear her in the background, she's barking. The little things. I miss that. So it's just, the things that matter in life are sometimes the things we take for granted. Each and every day, we take this for granted. We, you know, just, we go through the motions of daily life, and we get frustrated, and we get angry, and we get discouraged. But then we just start counting our blessings. We start counting... the little things that we have in life that make it so sweet and so cool so that's my little my little thoughts tonight you know take inventory of this stuff guys don't don't get too stressed out count the little things in your life that are big things some things that you might take for granted. And when you look back each and every day, you're like, you know what? I am richly blessed. I'm highly favored to have these positive things in my life. And I know I am coming back from two and a half weeks, basically being on my own until I saw my son. But... You miss the little things, the dinner with the family, the dog playing, the kids, even the kids fighting with each other, like, as silly as that sounds, it's, that's what matters to me now. All the money in the world, all success, I don't have that now, but what I have, again, is the little thing, so. Take stock, guys, take inventory of those little things, add them up, and you'll see you'll have a lot to be thankful for. Hope you guys have a great night, short and sweet, because I'm at home now. So, yeah, anyways, I'll see you guys in the next one.

Comments

@videoaddiction: We generally verlook the little things because we are too busy focusing on the bigger goals.

@jfang003: I am glad you made it back safely. Have a nice time with your family.

@bigtakosensei: I feel you man, my parter and I do 6 8 weeks out OTR so we can get a full week of home time and those little moments with family and home cooked meals are everything. The appreciation after the sacrifice is so different… Stay safe out there though man! !BBH replied to 4:28 on 3speak.tv

@gusna: Those little things that feel ordinary and that we often ignore will be very nostalgic when we are far away. Enjoy your time with your family, friends. replied to 4:28 on 3speak.tv

@ekads: Wow, what a long two and a half weeks apart from family. I can imagine how it feels like the little things that we often ignore can become things that we are very grateful for. Like seeing children fighting with each other can be a little thing that we really miss when we are away from them. replied to 4:28 on 3speak.tv

@hatdogsensei: It is the perfect time to rest at home after a long ride

@tortangkahoy: Appreciating all the little things makes life easier

@rebet: Safe travels this weekend then. Being back on the road so soon after getting home sounds pretty exhausting.
