Recuerdo que muchas veces me toco tocar con varias agrupaciones solo con el oído. Se requiere talento para acoplarse y adaptarse a un grupo musical. Yo tengo varias hipótesis acerca de donde salió la palabra. La guataca es un instrumento que se usa para la agricultura, también hay un instrumento de percusión con el mismo nombre. En Cuba se usa la palabra de manera coloquial para burlarse y referirse a las Orejas. Sin duda, se puede unir los eslabones entre esos tres significados, hasta llegar a lo que conocemos como tocar de manera empírica, y sin partitura. Quiero reconocer que han hecho una magna interpretación. Y que fue una experiencia enriquecedora y de aprendizaje leer sobre la Guitarra Sabanera. Me encanta el punteo, me parece que existe influencia de la música flamenca y gitana. Un merecido aplauso.
