A raíz del mi post previo, ¿Testigos? ¡No es asunto mío! || Witnesses? None of my business!, me llegaron distintas preguntas, como la que dejó el amigo @edujo en la misma publicación, junto a otras que me hicieron llegar como mensajes directos en Discord.

En este video pretendo darle respuesta a todas ellas.

En primer lugar, es necesario aclarar que el voto a los testigos no tiene absolutamente nada que ver con el voto a las publicaciones o comentarios. Son acciones separadas que el único nexo que tienen, es que ambas valdrán más, en la medida en que tu HP sea más alto. Pero votar por los testigos no incide en el poder de tu voto a contenido o comentarios.

Following my previous post, Witnesses? None of my business! || Witnesses? None of my business!, I received several questions, such as the one left by my friend @edujo in the same publication, along with others that were sent to me as direct messages on Discord.

In this video I intend to answer all of them.

First of all, it is necessary to clarify that the vote to the witnesses has absolutely nothing to do with the vote to the publications or comments. They are separate actions that the only link they have, is that both will be worth more, to the extent that your HP is higher. But voting for witnesses does not affect the power of your vote for content or comments.

A algunos usuarios les ha preocupado el aviso de que deben renovar sus votos a los testigos. Hay que señalar que desde uno de los recientes Hard Forks, los votos por los testigos expiran al cabo de un año. Esa es la razón por la que aparecen estos recordatorios, con la finalidad de que no olvides realizarlo.

La forma de hacerlo es muy sencilla. Primero debes ir a la página de los testigos:

Solo debes quitarle tu voto a los testigos de tu preferencia y volvérselos a dar.

Aunque no lo expliqué en el video, una opción muy cómoda es Hive Keychain. Allí debes entrar en la sección de Gobernanza y realizar el mismo procedimiento. En esta última herramienta también tienes la pestaña de Proxy, en la cual puedes colocar al de tu preferencia (Si no sabes lo que es el proxy, te invito a ver el post indicado al comienzo de este).

In this last tool you also have the Proxy tab, in which you can place the one of your preference (If you do not know what the proxy is, I invite you to see the post indicated at the beginning of this one).

En las páginas de Ecency.com y de Hive.blog no pude encontrar un lugar donde se puedan ver los testigos por los que votan otros usuarios. Si conoces la forma en estas dApps, por favor indícalo en la sección de comentarios.

Esas dos aplicaciones tienen su página dedicada a los testigos (la que indiqué más arriba) y allí puedes hacer clic en el nombre de usuario de cada testigo y eso te llevará a su página en Hive. Allí puedes verificar quién es, qué hace y puedes allí mismo darle el voto.

También allí encontrarás una entrada para colocar el proxy de tu preferencia.

Un sitio donde puedes ver los testigos por los que vota determinado usuarios es https://hive.ausbit.dev/@ylich (Simplemente sustituye el nombre de usuario).

En el caso de Peakd.com, todo funciona un poco diferente y a mi modo de ver es donde resulta más fácil verificar, votar los testigos y escoger el proxy.

En el perfil de cada testigo vas a ver un botón que te permitirá votarlo, allí mismo y en el menú de interacciones de cada usuario vas a encontrar la opción de colocar al mismo como proxy, así como la opción de ver los testigos por los cuales él vota.

Recuerda que este aspecto es muy importante que lo revises, para que verifiques que ese usuario vota por testigos que a ti te interesen. Y si formas parte de la comunidad de habla hispana, esto debería incluir a los testigos hispanos como @la-colmena, @aliento, @empo.witness y @dimeilaz.

Como puedes ver es un proceso sencillo, pero de gran importancia. Así que dedícale unos minutos a esa tarea y haz valer tu criterio en Hive.

On the Ecency.com and Hive.blog pages I could not find a place where you can see the witnesses that other users vote for. If you know the way in these dApps, please indicate it in the comments section.

Those two apps have their page dedicated to witnesses (the ones I indicated above) and there you can click on the username of each witness and that will take you to their page on Hive. There you can check who he is, what he does and you can give him the vote right there.

Also there you will find an entry to place the proxy of your choice.

In the case of Peakd.com, everything works a little differently and in my opinion is where it is easier to verify, vote the witnesses and choose the proxy.

In the profile of each witness you will see a button that will allow you to vote for him/her, right there and in the interactions menu of every user you will find the option to place that user as a proxy, as well as the option to see the witnesses for which he/she votes.

Remember that it is very important that you check this aspect, so that you can verify that the user votes for witnesses that interest you. And if you are part of the Spanish-speaking community, this should include Hispanic witnesses such as @la-colmena, @aliento, @empo.witness and @dimeilaz.

As you can see it is a simple process, but of great importance. So spend a few minutes on that task and make your criteria count on Hive.
