Community, En esta ocasión, les presento un emocionante video de mi participación en una amistosa competencia de básicos que tuvo lugar el viernes 04/08/2023 en nuestro regular parque de entrenamiento. La competencia, ideada y organizada por uno de nuestros compañeros, contó con atractivos premios para los tres primeros puestos, lo que motivó la participación de numerosas personas, incluyéndome a pesar de no ser mi especialidad. Sin más demoras, los invito a disfrutar del video y revivir junto a mí esta increíble experiencia deportiva.

Community, On this occasion, I present to you an exciting video of my participation in a friendly basics competition that took place on Friday 08/04/2023 in our regular training park. The competition, devised and organized by one of our colleagues, had attractive prizes for the first three places, which motivated the participation of numerous people, including me despite not being my specialty. Without further ado, I invite you to enjoy the video and relive this incredible sporting experience with me.

Ese día, como cualquier otro, fui al parque sin mayores expectativas y realicé mi rutina habitual de calentamiento para comenzar el entrenamiento. A pesar de sentir cierta fatiga por la semana pesada que tuve, igualmente decidí ir a entrenar.

That day, like any other, I went to the park with no expectations and did my usual warm-up routine to start training. Despite feeling some fatigue from the heavy week I had, I still decided to go train.

Tras finalizar mi calentamiento, noté la presencia de numerosas personas en el parque, especialmente considerando que era viernes, un día menos concurrido. Casualmente, me informaron que en ese momento iba a llevarse a cabo una competencia de básicos y, sin dudarlo, decidí unirme a la lista de participantes en el mismo instante en que comenzaba.

After finishing my warm up, I noticed the presence of many people in the park, especially considering that it was Friday, a less crowded day. Coincidentally, I was informed that a basics competition was going to be held at that moment, and without hesitation, I decided to join the list of participants at the very moment it started.

Como estuvo organizada la competencia

How was the competition organized?

En vez de organizar los ejercicios del más difícil al más fácil, decidieron sortear los ejercicios por medio de papelitos y tuviera un orden aleatorio, que al final tuvo el siguiente orden:

- Dominadas
- Sentadillas
- Fondos
- Muscle Up

Instead of organizing the exercises from the most difficult to the easiest, they decided to sort the exercises by means of pieces of paper and have a random order, which in the end had the following order:

- Pull ups
- Squats
- Dips
- Muscle Up

El objetivo era lograr hacer el máximo de repeticiones posibles de cada ejercicio y a medida que marcabas los máximos en cada ejercicio, la sumatoria de todas las repeticiones sería el puntaje, independientemente de la dificultad.

The objective was to achieve the maximum possible repetitions of each exercise and as you marked the maximum in each exercise, the sum of all the repetitions would be the score, regardless of the difficulty.

A pesar del cansancio acumulado de la semana, sorprendentemente, me sentí lleno de energía desde el inicio del primer ejercicio. Esta competencia me brindó la oportunidad de descubrir mis límites en ciertos ejercicios, ya que normalmente no los suelo medir. Comencé con una fuerza que superó mis expectativas, especialmente considerando que los básicos no son mi punto fuerte.

Despite the accumulated fatigue of the week, surprisingly, I felt full of energy from the start of the first exercise. This competition gave me the opportunity to discover my limits in certain exercises, since I don't normally measure them. I started with a strength that exceeded my expectations, especially considering that basics are not my strong point.

El siguiente ejercicio se llevó a cabo después de que todos los atletas completaran el primer ejercicio, lo que permitió descansar y enfrentar el siguiente ejercicio con mucha energía. A pesar de que mi cantidad de repeticiones no fue tan alta en comparación con otros participantes, me sentí satisfecho con mi desempeño, especialmente porque logré realizar 31 repeticiones en las dominadas, siendo el atleta con más repeticiones en ese ejercicio. Si bien me descontaron algunas por mala ejecución, estoy de acuerdo con esa decisión.

The next exercise was carried out after all the athletes completed the first exercise, which allowed them to rest and face the next exercise with a lot of energy. Even though my number of repetitions was not as high compared to other participants, I was satisfied with my performance, especially since I managed to complete 31 repetitions in the pull-ups, being the athlete with the most repetitions in that exercise. Although some were discounted for poor execution, I agree with that decision.

Después de la competencia, quedé en el 6.º puesto con un total de 130 puntos. Aunque no logré entrar en el top 5, me siento muy orgulloso de superar mis propias expectativas y ver que mi esfuerzo y dedicación no fueron en vano. Seguiré trabajando arduamente cada día para mejorar y convertir este punto débil en uno de mis mayores puntos fuertes. A continuación, les presentaré mis resultados y la cantidad de repeticiones realizadas en los ejercicios, teniendo en cuenta que algunas fueron descontadas por mala ejecución:

After the competition, I was ranked 6th with a total of 130 points. Even though I didn't make it into the top 5, I am very proud to exceed my own expectations and see that my effort and dedication were not in vain. I will continue to work hard every day to improve and turn this weakness into one of my greatest strengths. Next, I will present my results and the number of repetitions performed in the exercises, taking into account that some were discounted due to poor execution:

Cada paso, cada esfuerzo nos lleva más cerca de la grandeza. Mi desempeño en esta competencia me impulsa a enfrentar mis debilidades con valentía y dedicación. Estoy decidido a convertir mis retos en triunfos y a seguir superándome cada día. La lección aquí es clara: la perseverancia es la clave para alcanzar nuevas alturas.

Every step, every effort brings us closer to greatness. My performance in this competition encourages me to face my weaknesses with courage and dedication. I am determined to turn my challenges into triumphs and to continue improving myself every day. The lesson here is clear: perseverance is the key to reaching new heights.
