Alto´s Odyssey: Vuelta al Lemur [ESP-ENG]

Me había quedado rezagado en uno de los tantos niveles en Altos´s Odyssey. De los tres retos que debía yo cumplir para pasar al siguiente nivel, solo había logrado dos. El tercero era el más difícil, sobre todo porque Felipe, la alpaca patinadora, es muy rápida cuando desliza su patineta por la arena del desierto. Si a eso le agrego las trampas y el resto de obstáculos, entonces la tarea se vuelve un poco más difícil de lo que ya es. No obstante, no hay desafío que no se pueda superar, ¿o no? Decidido a comprobarlo, le di una oportunidad a Felipe, aprovechando que tenía yo algo de tiempo libre para poner a prueba mis habilidades de jugador.

El reto consiste en dar una voltereta inversa doble mientras un lémur te persigue. No suena tan difícil hasta que debes hacerlo. Los lémures aparecen en determinados puntos de la carrera para intentar tumbarte y hacerte perder. Si me lo preguntas, estas criaturas no son nada amigables. No me bastó mucho tiempo entender que necesitaba acumular puntos suficientes ´para activar el traje aéreo. Este traje es de gran utilidad para alcanzar altura y girar a la inversa. De todas formas: no es nada fácil. Recordé el motivo por el cual me había quedado estancando en el nivel 43.

Por suerte en la práctica se corrigen los errores.

I had fallen behind in one of the many levels in Altos's Odyssey. Of the three challenges I had to complete to get to the next level, I had only accomplished two. The third was the most difficult, especially because Felipe, the skateboarding alpaca, is very fast when he slides his skateboard across the desert sand. If I add to that the traps and the rest of the obstacles, then the task becomes a little more difficult than it already is. Still, there's no challenge that can't be overcome, is there? Determined to prove it, I gave Felipe a try, taking advantage of the fact that I had some free time to test my gaming skills.

The challenge is to do a double reverse somersault while being chased by a lemur. It doesn't sound that difficult until you have to do it. The lemurs appear at certain points in the race to try to knock you down and make you lose. If you ask me, these creatures are not friendly at all. It didn't take me long to figure out that I needed to accumulate enough points 'to activate the air suit. This suit is very useful for reaching altitude and turning in reverse. Anyway: it's not easy at all. I remembered why I was stuck at level 43.

Luckily in practice you correct mistakes.

La partida fue bastante emocionante, a pesar de que solo debía terminar un desafío. Tuve que estar atento y no apresurarme a realizar acrobacias sin sentido. No pude controlarme, y terminé pagando el precio (no tan literalmente. XD) en una parte del desierto. Había olvidado lo bonito que es jugar Altos´s Odyssey. The game was quite exciting, even though I only had to finish one challenge. I had to be attentive and not rush into meaningless stunts. I couldn't control myself, and ended up paying the price (not so literally. XD) in a part of the desert. I had forgotten how nice it is to play Altos's Odyssey. If you dare to watch the gameplay, you'll see the magic of an alpaca, her skateboard, and the colorful background that haunts her.
