He comprobado que a lo largo del tiempo, la banda de rock venezolana Caramelos de Cianuro (CDC) han sido un ápice de renovación de estilos y de constantes cambios en su estilo musical y siempre marcando pauta. Por lo cual han sido criticados pero a la vez por otro lado han sido muy elogiados y queridos, en muchas ocasiones ganando nuevos seguidores.

Esta canción (Guerra Lenta) y el disco al cual pertenece ("Flor de fuego" - 2007) son un claro ejemplo de ello. Ya que venían haciendo algo como un punk rock alternativo con su disco Frisbee, y de repente salieron con este disco totalmente distinto, algo como un rock n roll modernizado mas al estilo glam. Personalmente a mi no me gustó a primer oído ya que yo era mas punketo, lo sigo siendo, pero en ese entonces estaba mas arraigado.

Ya luego pasando el tiempo aprendí a apreciarlo bien y a degustar su sonido, sus guitarras y sus arreglos...Por supuesto sus letras siempre tan poéticas y expresivas. Esta canción es de mis favoritas de este álbum. Mucho antes de estar en Hive siempre quise hacerle un cover...Y ya que estoy aquí pues fue la ocasión perfecta para compartirlo. Aunque mi interpretación vocal como siempre no fue la mas optima, tenia varios días sin grabar y regrese muy fallido, pero lleno de pasión siempre y me deje llevar por ella, así que aquí se las comparto con mucho cariño.

I have verified that over time, the Venezuelan rock band Caramelos de Cianuro (CDC) have been an apex of style renewal and constant changes in their musical style and always setting the standard. For which they have been criticized but at the same time on the other hand they have been highly praised and loved, on many occasions gaining new followers.

This song (Guerra Lenta) and the album to which it belongs ("Flor de fuego" - 2007) are a clear example of this. Since they had been doing something like an alternative punk rock with their Frisbee album, and suddenly they came out with this totally different album, something like a modernized rock n roll more glam style. Personally, I didn't like it at first hearing since I was more of a punk, I still am, but back then I was more rooted.

Later, as time passed, I learned to appreciate him well and to taste his sound, his guitars and his arrangements...Of course his lyrics are always so poetic and expressive. This song is one of my favorites on this album. Long before being on Hive I always wanted to cover it...And since I'm here it was the perfect occasion to share it. Although my vocal performance, as always, was not the most optimal, I had several days without recording and I returned very unsuccessfully, but always full of passion and I let myself be carried away by it, so here I share them with great affection.
