Happy start to the week, Hive Open Mic family! As usual, I'm pleased to be able to participate in this awesome musical event. This week's theme is "Traditional Music" chosen by the spotlight artist @bertrayo. A very meaningful topic that allows to expose part of the artistic traditions of our countries.
On this special occasion, I would like to present a cover on acoustic guitar of the song "Luna de Margarita", a beautiful piece with lyrics and music by the beloved Venezuelan singer-songwriter Simón Díaz, bastion of our national folklore. In my opinion, this song is a metaphor between the beauties of the exuberant Margarita Island and the love towards a special being.
For this presentation I wanted to present a different set, so I went to the Santos Michelena Park in my city, in order to be in contact with nature and take advantage of the sunlight, in addition to an atmosphere of harmony and cordiality. I liked the experience very much and I plan to repeat it in future entries. I hope that this rendition will be to the liking of many.
¡Feliz inicio de semana, familia de Hive Open Mic! Como de costumbre, me siento complacida de poder participar en este estupendo evento musical. La temática de la presente semana es “Música Tradicional" escogida por el artista destacado @bertrayo. Un tópico muy significativo y que permite exponer parte de las tradiciones artísticas de nuestros países.
En esta ocasión especial, quiero presentarles un cover en guitarra acústica de la canción “Luna de Margarita” una hermosa pieza con letra y música del amado cantautor venezolano Simón Díaz, baluarte de nuestro folclore nacional. En esta canción se observa, a mi parecer, una metáfora entre las bellezas de la exuberante Isla de Margarita y el amor hacia un ser especial.
Para esta entrega quise presentar un set diferente, así que me dirigí al Parque Santos Michelena de mi cuidad, de modo de estar en contacto con la naturaleza y aprovechar la luz solar, además de un ambiente de armonía y cordialidad. La experiencia me gustó mucho y pienso repetirla en futuras participaciones. Espero que esta presentación sea del agrado de muchos.
