Happy New Year 2023 to the great Hive Open Mic family! First of all I wish you times of prosperity and peace, may each of your plans and projects come to fruition and reach a happy ending. It is an honor for me to start a new year with all of you, sharing my infinite love for music.

This second day of the new born year, I want to present a guitar cover of the song Equally Destructive, by the Dutch symphonic metal band After Forever, from the album of the same name, released in 2007. The theme proposed for this week is "Voice of Hope", and this song talks about the destruction of the environment for which, in one way or another, we all have a grain of responsibility. The only hope for the planet is ourselves, our conscience and determination to raise our voices and show love and respect for the home that has seen us born and develop as human beings.

For this cover I used the app. Moises app to subtract the audio from the guitars, leaving only voice, bass, and drums, so that I could integrate my guitars to accompany the track. The distortion of the electric guitar was achieved with a digital amplifier (preset 025 Goldchair Rythm) from Guitar Rig. The video was edited with the Movavi and Capcut apps. I hope you like it.

¡Feliz año 2023 a la gran familia de Hive Open Mic! Ante todo les deseo tiempos de prosperidad y paz, que cada uno de sus planes y proyectos se lleven a cabo y lleguen a feliz término. Es un honor para mí iniciar un nuevo año con todos ustedes, compartiendo mi infinito amor por la música.

Este segundo día del recién nacido año, les quiero presentar un cover en guitarras de la canción Equally Destructive, de la banda de metal sinfónico neerlandesa After Forever, perteneciente al álbum del mismo nombre, lanzado en el año 2007. La temática propuesta para esta semana es La “Voz de la Esperanza”, y esta canción habla de la destrucción del medio ambiente de la cual, de alguna manera u otra, todos tenemos un granito de responsabilidad. La única esperanza del planeta somos nosotros mismos, nuestra conciencia y la determinación de alzar la voz y de demostrar amor y respeto por el hogar que nos ha visto nacer y desarrollarnos como seres humanos.

Para este cover utilicé la app. Moises para sustraer el audio de las guitarras, dejando solo voz, bajo, y batería, de manera de poder integrar mis guitarras para acompañar la pista. La distorsión de la guitarra eléctrica fue lograda mediante amplificador digital (preset 025 Goldchair Rythm) del programa Guitar Rig. El video fue editado con las app Movavi y Capcut. Espero que les guste.
