Hola qué tal amigos amantes de la música, un placer estar de nuevo participando en esta semana de hive open mic #146, en el cual eligieron como tema "La Unión".

En esta oportunidad elegí el tema conocido como "We are the world", sin duda alguna un tema emblemático, buscando un poco la historia de la canción y sus orígenes, me cautivó que haya sido una producción para ayudar a las personas de África, que todo lo recaudado con este sencillo sería para donarlos, una acción bastante noble por parte de grandes artistas y productores que participaron para llevar acabó la canción, uniéndose por esta noble causa.

Para saber un poco más de esta canción vamos a sus orígenes:

Las terribles imágenes de la hambruna sufrida por parte del continente africano, principalmente Etiopía, dieron a Harry Belafonte la idea de realizar una campaña de recaudación de fondos con fines humanitarios. Su representante, Ken Kragen, le sugirió formar una unión de artistas al estilo de la exitosa banda Band Aid, formada por músicos británicos en 1984 para grabar la canción «Do They Know It's Christmas?» con fines similares.

Kragen eligió la fecha y lugar de grabación (25 de enero en los Estudios A&M de Los Ángeles, California) para asegurar la asistencia de tantos intérpretes como fuese posible. En la invitación escrita que envió Quincy Jones a cada uno de ellos, se les advertía que «dejasen su ego en la puerta». La convocatoria fue atendida por 45 músicos, incluyendo Bob Geldof, que fue el promotor de la Band Aid en el Reino Unido. Participaron veintiún vocalistas que interpretaban algún fragmento en solitario, entre los que estaban importantes nombres como Ray Charles, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Cyndi Lauper, Bob Dylan o Bruce Springsteen. En el coro, actuaron todos los componentes de The Jackson Five.

Más allá de todo esto, dos personas fueran las encargadas de escribir esta cancion, que fue Michael Jackson y Lionel Richie, tuvieron una semana para componerla, pero aún así con el corto tiempo, crearon una letra donde se plasmaba un mensaje importante.

Este mensaje importante que podemos apreciar en la canción es:

"La Unión"

La union de todas las personas como seres iguales sin importar su sexo, su edad, su nacionalidad, sus creencias. Que atraves de la unión y el ayudar a los que necesitan, de corazón, permitíra ese cambio que necesitamos para tener un mundo mejor. Citando la canción:

Yo me tomé el atrevimiento de interpretar este tema, con todo el respeto que se merece con mi instrumento la mandolina, es una versión instrumental ya que no se me da muy bien lo de cantar, de igual manera espero que les guste, un abrazo inmenso.

Hello how are you friends music lovers, a pleasure to be participating again in this week of hive open mic #146, in which they chose "La Unión" as the theme.

On this occasion I chose the song known as "We are the world", without a doubt an emblematic theme, looking a bit at the history of the song and its origins, I was captivated that it was a production to help the people of Africa, that all proceeds from this single would be donated, a rather noble action by great artists and producers who participated to bring the song to an end, uniting for this noble cause.

To know a little more about this song, let's go to its origins:

The terrible images of the famine suffered by part of the African continent, mainly Ethiopia, gave Harry Belafonte the idea of carrying out a fundraising campaign for humanitarian purposes. His manager, Ken Kragen, suggested that he form a union of artists in the style of the successful band Band Aid, formed by British musicians in 1984 to record the song "Do They Know It's Christmas?" for similar purposes.

Kragen chose the recording date and location (January 25 at A&M Studios in Los Angeles, California) to ensure the attendance of as many performers as possible. In the written invitation Quincy Jones sent to each of them, they were warned to "leave your ego at the door." The call was attended by 45 musicians, including Bob Geldof, who was the promoter of Band Aid in the United Kingdom. Twenty-one vocalists who performed some solo fragment participated, including important names such as Ray Charles, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Cyndi Lauper, Bob Dylan or Bruce Springsteen. In the choir, all the components of The Jackson Five performed.

Beyond all this, two people were in charge of writing this song, which was Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, they had a week to compose it, but even so with the short time, they created lyrics where an important message was embodied.

This important message that we can appreciate in the song is:

I took the audacity to interpret this song, with all the respect it deserves with my instrument, the mandolin, it's an instrumental version since I'm not very good at singing, I hope you like it anyway, a huge hug .
