I am saying Happy New Year in the Hive Open Mic Community since it's my first song for this year 2024. So also, happy weekend everyone. It is another beautiful moment to showcase what we are good at which is singing and for this week 195, the theme is "Friendship." I chose the song "One Friend" by Dan Seals.

This song by Dan Seals is the one that talks about and celebrates the value of a true friend and one who is loyal. The song was released in 1984 and still has a deep meaning in today's world. The song shares the significance of having someone who can stand by you through thick and thin. It reminds me of my childhood friend and she best fits into the lyrics of the song. I couldn't have asked for a true and wonderful friend like her. We still connect today and our friendship is more than 17 years old which I am grateful to have and cherish. In a way, this song is dedicated to her.
