Frosted Winter is a DLC-type (unofficial) mod developed by the well-known GTA community modder known as Pistukas, or Pistukas Mods. This mod expands the story of GTA 3, placing us in the year 2002 (one year after the events of GTA 3) and this time playing as the son and main heir of Salvatore Leone, Joey Leone, in addition to adding a completely new story. This mod also changes Liberty City in many ways, with the main highlight being the new winter environment that completely changes the appearance of the city, immersing it in a cold winter.

Frosted Winter es un mod del tipo DLC (no oficial) desarrollado por el conocido modder de la comunidad GTA conocido como Pistukas, o Pistukas Mods. Este mod se encarga de expandir la historia de GTA 3, ubicándonos en el año 2002 (un año después de los sucesos de GTA 3) e interpretando esta vez al hijo y principal heredero de Salvatore Leone, Joey Leone, además de agregar una historia totalmente nueva, también este mod cambia en muchos aspectos a la ciudad de Liberty City, destacándose principalmente el nuevo ambiente invernal que cambia totalmente la apariencia de la ciudad sumergiéndola en un frío invierno.

3Short-Summary.

If you've ever played Gta III, you may remember the Hepburn Heights area in Portland (the first island of Liberty City), an area that was dominated by the Diablos gang, the Latino gang that used to wear red and blue bandanas in Gta 3. Well, in this Hepburn Heights area, which by the way is inspired by Brownsville – Brooklyn NY, you can hear musical sounds when you walk through the apartment area, as shown in the 3short. These electronic music beats seem to come from the apartments in the area, which gives it a spectacular New York neighborhood atmosphere, which is why I decided to bring it up in this short video.

Si has jugado alguna vez a Gta III, quizás recordarás la zona de Hepburn Heights en Portland (primera isla de Liberty City), zona que se encontraba dominada por la banda de los Diablos, si esa banda de pandilleros latinos que solían llevar pañoletas rojas y azules en Gta 3. Bueno, en esta zona de Hepburn Heights que por cierto está inspirada en Brownsville – Brooklyn NY, se pueden escuchar sonidos musicales cuando caminamos por el área de apartamentos, tal cual como se muestra en el 3short. Dichos beats de música electrónica aparentan salir de los departamentos de la zona, lo cual da una atmosfera de barrio neoyorquino espectacular, por ello he decidido traerlo en este breve short.

We take a tour of the Hepburn Heights area in our Diablo Stallion V8, the car of the Diablos gang.

Hacemos el recorrido por la zona de Hepburn Heights en nuestro Diablo Stallion V8, auto propio de la pandilla de los Diablos.

Using a first-person mod, we can make the tour more immersive, and thus enjoy more of the atmosphere that this classic video game offers us.

Utilizando un mod de primera persona podemos hacer el recorrido más inmersivo, y así disfrutar más de la atmósfera que nos ofrece este ya clásico de los videojuegos.

Frosted Winter modifies many vehicles in the game, but always remaining faithful to the aesthetics proposed by Rockstar in the original GTA III, which is why this mod feels like you are playing a completely new game from the company with the R and the star.

Frosted Winter modifica muchos vehículos del juego, pero siempre siendo fiel a la estética planteada por Rockstar en el GTA III original, por eso se siente este mod como si estuvieras jugando a un juego totalmente nuevo de la compañía de la R y la estrella.

The nights in Frosted Winter are spectacular and invite us to explore every corner of the city and enjoy driving.

Las noches en Frosted Winter son espectaculares y nos invitan a explorar cada rincón de la ciudad y a disfrutar de la conducción

Note: The driving in the mod is modified, making it more difficult to handle, but all of this with the purpose of simulating what it would be like to drive in snowy conditions. This last detail is something that I really like about the mod.

Nota: La conducción en el mod se encuentra modificada, haciendo el manejo más complicado, pero todo esto con el propósito de simular lo que sería conducir bajo condiciones de nieve. Esto último es un detalle que me gusta mucho del mod.

Finally, for this 3short I was using the Diablos gang member Skin to roleplay better and feel more like I was from the Hepburn Heights area J .

Por último, para este 3short estuve utilizando la Skin del pandillero de los Diablos para rolear mejor y sentirme más como de la zona de Hepburn Heights :)
