Painting My Wellness Mandala to achieve my inner harmony
Pintando Mi Mandala de Bienestar para lograr mi armonía interior
div class="pull-right"> Drawing and painting Mandalas is an art therapy technique widely used nowadays for the multiple benefits it offers.
div class="pull-right"> Mandalas literally mean "Wheel" in Sanskrit and are representations of the Macro Cosmo and Micro Cosmo. That is, they are present in the design of nature as fractality from the largest to the smallest and also. Also in the collective unconscious, the psychologist Carl Jung was the first to bring this tool to the West and through his patients he was able to observe how people who had never known about Mandalas created this type of figures.
div class="pull-right"> They are present in many ancient cultures around the world such as the Mayan culture, Aztec, even China but are mainly known by Tibetan and Hindu cultures.
div class="pull-right"> Mandalas are a great tool for self-knowledge. In my experience as a Mandala teacher I have been able to see how these artistic elaborations faithfully represent the people who create them, showing traits of their personality and personal energy.
div class="pull-right"> They also help us to relax, drawing regularizes the breathing rhythm and therefore the heart rate and by putting our focus of attention on the creation of Mandalas we achieve states of relaxation because the mind does not wander, jumping from the past to the future but it is there located in the here and now: the present moment.
div class="pull-right"> Its circular shape allows to contain and expand the energy, that is why many people use the Mandala to work on various mental states that want to expand and experience, for example working with feelings such as peace, joy, serenity or even intentions such as abundance, health, etc.
div class="pull-right"> It is for this and many other things that I recommend the practice of drawing Mandalas, which I also join this time inspired by the initiative of the @holos-lotus community.
div class="pull-right"> Lately I've been looking for tools that connect me with relaxation, that's where this Mandala came from, although I had started some months ago I hadn't painted it yet. So I decided to dust it off to give color to this piece and share it with you.
div class="pull-right"> When I made it I was closing a Tarot session that I won in an Instagram contest and the tarot reader told me that at the end of each session it should be closed so that there was no escape of energies and she told me that there were many ways to close the sessions but as I was an artist she thought that I should close the session with a Mandala and that's why I made this drawing.
div class="pull-right"> I tried it with much love and I wrote a phrase that when I read it again resonated deeply with me at the moment I am in: "Letting go of what I do not want in my life: fears, distrust, limiting beliefs, lack of faith, illusory and unreal blockages to make me lighter and give way to the most powerful force: Love, which destroys all blockages and begins to flow the energy spiral to achieve my goals and desires, self-realize and reunite me with my true self and power of divine origin".
div class="pull-right"> The truth is that I did not remember this phrase and it came from a time when I was experiencing a lot of anxiety, so it helped me to release those burdens to become lighter through the drawing and that was how I intended each stroke, each color.
div class="pull-right"> Without realizing it, my Mandala looks like a shield but it is a shield of infinite love for the symbols that are presented in it.
div class="pull-right"> As for the colors, I really like pastel colors and in fact that is usually my usual drawing palette in my artistic creations, but this time I felt the need to include yellow in the Mandala as well.
div class="pull-right"> Here is a little step by step process of elaboration. To make the Mandala use Microns, coloured pencils Kores and Prismacolor premier and gold and orange gel pen.
Aquí les dejo un poco el proceso de elaboración paso a paso. Para realizar el Mándala use estilografos Microns, lápices de colores kores y prismacolor premier y bolígrafos de gel dorado y naranja.According to the study of color psychology each color is associated with some emotion or state of mind, so I did some research about each color I used in the Mandala to give it a better interpretation.
