Iniciamos temprano en la Terminal de Colonia Express en Puerto Madero. Nuestro barco partía a las 10:30 AM, y se recomendaba llegar con 1 hora y media de antelación. Personalmente, adquirí un boleto para el barco hasta Colonia del Sacramento, seguido por un autobús hacia Montevideo.

Allí disfruté de un sabroso desayuno compuesto por una ensalada César.

Vale mencionar que se puede hacer el check-in de manera rápida en las máquinas ubicadas al costado, usando el número de reserva o el DNI. Me sorprendió ver a tanta gente haciendo fila para el mismo proceso. Personalmente, empleé apenas 2 minutos en la máquina, incluso cuando la fila era larga. Las máquinas estaban vacías.

Luego de pasar por los controles de rayos X, donde no está permitido grabar, nos dirigimos a la siguiente sala de espera, que estaba ordenada y agradable. Uno tiene la opción de llevar bicicletas, motos o autos. Cabe mencionar que si deseas sentarte junto a tu familia, es necesario formar fila antes del abordaje, ya que los asientos no están numerados. Básicamente, los asientos se ocupan por orden de llegada.

Después, nos dirigimos al barco. Aunque me pareció pequeño, resultó aceptable. Una vez a bordo, nos acomodamos. No hice fila y no pude sentarme junto a mi hermana, quien me acompañaba (error de principiante). Una vez que zarpamos, abrieron la tienda libre de impuestos, así que decidí echar un vistazo a lo que ofrecían. Algo importante: si viajas en este barco pequeño, el movimiento es bastante intenso. De hecho, noté que las cámaras en la tienda libre de impuestos se movían debido a las sacudidas; estuve a punto de caer en un par de ocasiones. Todos los precios estaban en dólares. Aquí te muestro algunos productos: compré unas papas Pringles y una botella de agua de pera.

Los asientos no eran especialmente cómodos, pero el viaje hasta Colonia fue breve. Espero que no sea igual si viajas a Montevideo, ya que ese trayecto es de varias horas.

Al llegar a Colonia del Sacramento, nos dirigimos rápidamente al autobús. No hubo tiempo para más. Menos de 15 minutos después, ya estábamos en camino. El autobús resultó ser muy cómodo, y el viaje duró aproximadamente 2 horas.

Finalmente, llegamos a la Terminal Tres Cruces, donde se pueden tomar autobuses para viajar dentro y fuera del país. Todo estaba limpio y organizado. Además, en la planta superior se encuentra un centro comercial. Aquí encontrarás casas de cambio, lugares para comer y otras tiendas, incluso un supermercado. Si es tu primera vez, puedes acercarte a un Abitab y obtener la tarjeta STM para viajar en autobuses por el país. La primera vez que la obtienes es gratuita, y el saldo mínimo es de 100 pesos uruguayos. El pasaje urbano cuesta 42 pesos con la tarjeta y 52 pesos en efectivo. Puedes obtenerla con tu DNI argentino o pasaporte.

Luego decidí caminar hasta el Airbnb, ya que estaba bastante cerca de la terminal, unas 6 cuadras aproximadamente.

Al llegar, el anfitrión del Airbnb nos abrió la puerta del edificio de forma remota y dejó la llave en la entrada. Subimos y recorrimos el departamento. Pagué un total de 123,81 dólares americanos por 3 noches. El lugar estaba totalmente equipado, permitiendo cocinar y mucho más.

Esta era mi primera experiencia en un Airbnb, ya que anteriormente me hospedaba en hoteles durante mis viajes. La verdad es que quedé muy satisfecho. El anfitrión del departamento fue sumamente amable y siempre estuvo atento a nuestras necesidades. Incluso nos brindó consejos sobre lugares para visitar, comer y comprar en las cercanías. Además, la decoración era excepcional.

En resumen, mi experiencia viajando a Montevideo fue fantástica. No tuve complicaciones; todo transcurrió de manera relajada y en el Airbnb me sentí como en casa. ¡Me complace compartir mi vivencia contigo!

We started early at the Colonia Express Terminal in Puerto Madero. Our boat was scheduled to depart at 10:30 AM, and it was recommended to arrive 1 hour and 30 minutes in advance. Personally, I bought a ticket for the boat to Colonia del Sacramento, followed by a bus to Montevideo.

There, I enjoyed a delicious Caesar salad for breakfast.

It's worth mentioning that you can quickly check in using the machines on the side, using your reservation number or ID. I was surprised to see so many people queuing for the same process. I only took about 2 minutes at the machine, even when the line was long. The machines were empty.

After going through the X-ray controls, where recording was not allowed, we moved to the next waiting area, which was neat and pleasant. You have the option to bring bicycles, motorcycles, or cars. It's important to note that if you want to sit with your family, you need to line up before boarding, as the seats are not numbered. Basically, it's first come, first served.

Afterward, we walked to board the boat. Although the boat seemed quite small, it was decent. Once on board, we settled in. I didn't queue and couldn't sit with my sister, who was accompanying me (rookie mistake). Once we set sail, the duty-free shop opened, so I decided to see what they had. An important note: if you're on this small boat, the movement is quite strong. In fact, I noticed the cameras in the duty-free shop shaking due to the swaying; I almost fell a couple of times. All prices were in dollars. Here are some items I bought: Pringles chips and a pear-flavored water.

The seats weren't particularly comfortable, but the journey to Colonia was short. I hope it's not the same if you're going to Montevideo, as that's a journey of several hours.

Upon arriving in Colonia del Sacramento, we quickly headed to the bus. There was no time for anything else. Less than 15 minutes later, we were already on our way. The bus turned out to be very comfortable, and the journey lasted about 2 hours.

Finally, we arrived at Terminal Tres Cruces, where you can take buses to travel within and outside the country. Everything was clean and organized. Additionally, on the upper level, there's a shopping center. Here, you'll find currency exchange offices, places to eat, and other shops, including a supermarket. If it's your first time, you can visit an Abitab and get the STM card to travel on buses throughout the country. The first time you get it, it's free, and the minimum balance is 100 Uruguayan pesos. The urban fare costs 42 pesos with the card and 52 pesos in cash. You can get it with your Argentine ID or passport.

Later, I decided to walk to the Airbnb, as it was quite close to the terminal, about 6 blocks away.

Upon arrival, the Airbnb host remotely opened the building's door and left the key at the entrance. We went up and toured the apartment. I paid a total of 123.81 US dollars for 3 nights. The place was fully equipped, allowing for cooking and more.

This was my first experience with an Airbnb, as I previously stayed in hotels during my travels. Honestly, I was very pleased. The apartment host was extremely friendly and always attentive to our needs. They even gave us tips on places to visit, eat, and shop nearby. Additionally, the decoration was fantastic.

In summary, my trip to Montevideo was wonderful. There were no complications; everything was very relaxed, and I felt at home in the Airbnb. I'm delighted to share my experience with you!
