Female rock at the museum

Last Saturday we were walking through the streets of downtown Lima and as we passed by the front of the Metropolitan Museum, we heard in the distance a music that experience has taught us that it was live music, curiosity made us enter and to our surprise on the outskirts of the museum there were many people witnessing a live band, there was a small stage but very conducive to space, the sound technically was also good.

It was a female band called Paradero Astral, four girls were in charge of animating an afternoon that was about to fall to give way to the cold night. The style of this band was not exactly the one we like, but it is always nice to appreciate live music, without any kind of filter and direct from the performers; besides, the atmosphere was quite nice, there were many people cheering the girls who were really doing a very good job.

We really liked that the stage was decorated with several colorful balloons that seemed to be made of paper or cardboard, these combined with the light bulbs and lighting gave a very nice look to the view, we believe that these are details that help to refresh what is being witnessed. We were also very impressed by the quality of the equipment they were using, mainly the bass amplifier which was a Hartke, a brand well known for its good sound and quality.

The style of music of this interesting female band was a kind of Indie/Alternative, a style that is usually refined and without many energy jumps, but that transmits pleasant vibes especially in an environment like this in which you are listening to sounds being produced directly live. There were a lot of people who wanted to see this band, in fact it was difficult for us to get close enough to take frontal pictures, we could only do it from the side of the stage.

Every time we witness live music, regardless of the genre, we feel privileged to be able to appreciate and understand the value of musicians. Seeing them play their instruments and perform in front of an audience is admirable and makes us understand that belonging to this world is the right choice.

We think it's great that these spaces are set up for young emerging artists to perform and show their talents. In this particular case it was interesting to see four girls transmit their best vibes and energy, they have a lot of charisma and made us have a good time, we noticed that the audience also enjoyed a lot.
