Hello my Hive Open Mic Family and Community. You are welcome to Hive Open Mic week 120 and the Theme of this week is My Happiness, chosen by @jorge234nv.

For a long time, I've been unable to answer one important and pertinent question about my life. Most times when I get such questions from friends and acquaintances, I simply give them any response on my mind at that time to prevent further enquiries and "investigation" 🧐

WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?

This may be a simple question to you, but to me it isn't.

Your best bet will be music, since I am a "multi-beginner" instrumentalist. Infact, I also thought it was music till I began this journey of introspection. Being creative will be another option, chatting with friends or watching movies. _{PS: Since I began this personal journey, I had to "lower the volume" of these options, however Hive revived them.}

But,

I am unable to hinge the reason or source of my happiness to a physical reality, because this implies that if that thing isn't available then that'll be a long sad day/weeks/months/years for me.

HAPPINESS SHOULD COME FROM WITHIN

So many motivational speakers will tell you that "Happiness comes from within," but, the fact is that this quote is incomplete. We should ask: Within where? In your body, mind or where?

In as much as they don't limit Happiness to the physical and external realities, they also don't give definitive response to where Happiness should come from.

Durante mucho tiempo, he sido incapaz de responder a una pregunta importante y pertinente sobre mi vida. La mayoría de las veces, cuando recibo este tipo de preguntas de amigos y conocidos, me limito a darles cualquier respuesta que se me ocurra en ese momento para evitar más indagaciones e "investigaciones" 🧐

¿QUÉ TE HACE FELIZ?

Esta puede ser una pregunta sencilla para ti, pero para mí no lo es.

Tu mejor opción será la música, ya que soy un instrumentista "multiprincipiante". De hecho, yo también pensaba que era la música hasta que comencé este viaje de introspección. Ser creativo será otra opción, charlar con los amigos o ver películas. _{PS: Desde que comencé este viaje personal, tuve que "bajar el volumen" de estas opciones, sin embargo Hive las revivió.}

Pero, Soy incapaz de vincular la razón o la fuente de mi felicidad a una realidad física, porque esto implica que si esa cosa no está disponible entonces será un largo día/semanas/meses/años tristes para mí.

La felicidad debe venir de dentro

Muchos oradores motivacionales te dirán que "la felicidad viene de dentro", pero, lo cierto es que esta cita está incompleta. Deberíamos preguntar: ¿Dentro de dónde? En tu cuerpo, en tu mente o en dónde?

En la medida en que no limitan la Felicidad a las realidades físicas y externas, tampoco dan respuesta definitiva a de dónde debe venir la Felicidad.

Well, my choice of this beautiful song by Adrienne Camp titled IN CHRIST ALONE is an affirmation that Christ, alone is the source of my happiness. In him, my hope is found. He is my light, my strength, my joy and the Solid rock upon which I stand firm.

This is not only a reassurance for me, but it is also a personal reminder to me about the place of Christ in my life.

Pues bien, mi elección de esta hermosa canción de Adrienne Camp titulada IN CHRIST ALONE es una afirmación de que sólo Cristo es la fuente de mi felicidad. En él se encuentra mi esperanza. Él es mi luz, mi fuerza, mi alegría y la roca sólida sobre la que me mantengo firme.

Esto no es sólo una tranquilidad para mí, sino también un recordatorio personal sobre el lugar de Cristo en mi vida.
