Olá pessoal!!! As aulas começaram e como todo inicio de ano vem os cursos de verão. Nesse post vou mostrar pra vocês um vídeo de um exercício da primeira aula do curso de bolero que está sendo ministrado por mim e falar um pouco dos cursos de verão em si.

Então vamos ao que interessa...

Os cursos de Verão

Desde 2017, que foi o ano em que comecei a trabalhar com dança, nunca tinha visto um ano começar tão fraco. Eu e Tamara sempre fazemos uma media de 3 cursos no inicio do ano, geralmente durando até o carnaval. Não importa se estamos em espaço alugado como era no inicio, na nossa escola própria como foi no período em que tínhamos nossa escola, ou trabalhando em uma escola de dança de outra pessoa como é o caso de agora, sempre tivemos os cursos.

Sempre temos o curso de samba no pé, que tem uma procura grande e geralmente fica lotado, ele é muito procurado por conta do carnaval, todos querem aprender a sambar pra ir pros blocos e escolas de samba. Os outros 2 cursos que colocamos geralmente varia de acordo com a procura, se tivermos muitos alunos pedindo samba de gafieira é o que colocamos, se tiver bolero fazemos assim. Esse ano tivemos alunos pedindo dança afro e bolero. Então abrimos 3 cursos de verão, Samba no pé com professor convidado Arthur Mendes, Dança Afro com professora convidada Jessica e Bolero com professor Filipe Valentim(Eu). O curso de samba no pé geralmente é a Tamara quem da aula, mas com a gravidez já no sexto mês preferimos convidar outro professor.

Não sei se foi esse o motivo ou o ano só começou estranho mesmo. Mas o curso de samba no pé teve 0 inscrições pela primeira vez, no ano passado o mesmo curso ministrado pela Tamara teve 18 alunos inscritos. Obviamente o curso não aconteceu. Algo parecido aconteceu com Dança Afro, tínhamos 6alunas pedindo pra trazermos esse curso pra escola, apenas 2 se matricularam o que tornou o curso inviável já que temos um mínimo de 5 alunos para o curso acontecer.

O curso de Bolero conseguimos formar, mas também não tivemos uma procura grande. Temos 6 alunos fazendo o curso o que é quase o mínimo pra ele acontecer. Mas com 6 alunos iniciamos ontem o curso e é sobre ele que vamos falar e que vocês verão no video.

O Curso de Bolero

O curso iniciou no dia 15 desse mês, e terá o total de 8 aulas, O Valor do investimento pra participar do curso é de 120BRL pra quem não é aluno da escola e 100BRL para quem já é aluno, esse valor da algo em torno de 25USD e 20USD respectivamente. O curso vai acontecer na Escola Caxiense de Danças onde estou trabalhando desde setembro de 2022.

Cada uma das 8 aulas terá um tema especifico, a ideia do curso é a transformação da dança do aluno e construção do seu próprio corpo de dança. Faremos dinâmicas para trabalhar fundamentos da dança e teremos sempre no fim da aula uma sequencia como ferramenta pra aplicar o que foi aprendido na aula. Essa sequencia começou na primeira aula e a cada aula será acrescentado algumas movimentações.

Na primeira aula o tema foi postura e equilíbrio, segue abaixo os temas de cada aula:

No vídeo o que podemos ver é um mix dos exercícios que trabalhamos no inicio da aula, tendo o alongamento dos braços e pernas, respiração e no final temos a primeira parte da sequencia que foi a parte que trabalhamos na primeira aula.

The summer courses

Since 2017, when I started working with dance, I've never seen a year start so poorly. Tamara and I always run an average of three courses at the beginning of the year, usually lasting until Carnival. It doesn't matter if we're in rented space as we were at the beginning, in our own school as we were when we had our school, or working in someone else's dance school as we are now, we always have the courses.

We always have the samba no pé course, which is in great demand and is usually full. It's very popular because of Carnival, everyone wants to learn how to samba to go to the blocos and samba schools. The other two courses we put on usually vary according to demand, if we have a lot of students asking for samba de gafieira that's the one we put on, if we have bolero we do it that way. This year we had students asking for Afro dance and bolero. So we opened three summer courses, Samba no pé with guest teacher Arthur Mendes, Afro Dance with guest teacher Jessica and Bolero with teacher Filipe Valentim (me). The samba no pé course is usually taught by Tamara, but with her pregnancy now in its sixth month, we preferred to invite another teacher.

I don't know if that was the reason or if the year just got off to a strange start. But the samba no pé course had 0 enrolments for the first time, last year the same course taught by Tamara had 18 students enrolled. Obviously the course didn't take place. Something similar happened with Afro Dance, we had 6 students asking us to bring this course to the school, only 2 enrolled, which made the course unfeasible since we have a minimum of 5 students for the course to take place.

We managed to train for the Bolero course, but there wasn't much demand for it either. We have 6 students taking the course, which is almost the minimum for it to take place. But with 6 students we started the course yesterday and that's what we're going to talk about and what you'll see in the video.

The Bolero Course

The course started on the 15th of this month, and will have a total of 8 lessons. The investment to take part in the course is 120BRL for those who are not students at the school and 100BRL for those who are already students, which is around 25USD and 20USD respectively. The course will take place at Escola Caxiense de Danças, where I've been working since September 2022.

Each of the 8 classes will have a specific theme. The idea of the course is to transform the student's dance and build their own body of dance. We'll use dynamics to work on dance fundamentals and we'll always have a sequence at the end of the class as a tool for applying what was learned in class. This sequence began in the first class and each class will add a few moves.

In the first class, the theme was posture and balance. The themes of each class are listed below:

In the video we see a mix of the exercises we worked on at the beginning of the class, stretching the arms and legs, breathing and at the end we have the first part of the sequence which was the part we worked on in the first class.
