Sex Education | Video Review

Esta serie transcurre en la secundaria de un pequeño pueblo inglés llamados Moordale, esta secundaria es como cualquier otra, con profesores que amamos y odiamos, un director estricto, los populares, los nerds, los sexualmente activos, los solitarios y los invisibles. Lo común que encontraríamos en cualquier película o serie de adolescente de cualquier generación. Sin embargo, esto toma todo un vuelco cuando nuestros protagonistas Otis Milburn y Maeve Wiley se unen para aconsejar a sus compañeros sobre temas sexuales aprovechando un feo baño abandonado en el campus del colegio. Durante ese período pordemos ver todos muchos casos relatados e incluso algunos con los que podríamos sentirnos hasta identificados.

This series takes place in the high school of a small English town called Moordale, this high school is like any other, with teachers we love and hate, a strict principle, the popular, the nerds, the sexually active, the loners and the invisible. The usual stuff we would find in any teen movie or series of any generation. However, this takes a complete turn when our protagonists Otis Milburn and Maeve Wiley team up to counsel their peers on sexual matters by taking advantage of an ugly abandoned bathroom on the school campus. During this period we get to see many cases related and even some with which we could feel identified.

En esta serie podemos resaltar varios personajes bastante importantes; Otis es el hijo de una terapeuta sexual, la dra Milburn, así que al crecer rodeado de tanta información sexual tuvo que aprovecharla y sacar el mejor provecho, Maeve es una desadaptada, feminista e increíblemente inteligente que necesita urgentemente el dinero para subsistr, así que es la encargada del negocio y de buscar los clientes para la clínica sexual. Podemos nombra a Eric, es un gay salido del clóset hijo de unos inmigrantes nigerianos y que sufre del bullying de Adam, el terrible hijo del director. Hay muchos otros personajes maravillosos que me encantan pero haría esta publicación mucho más extensa de lo que necesitamos que sea.

In this series we can highlight several important characters; Otis is the son of a sex therapist, Dr. Milburn, so growing up surrounded by so much sexual information he had to take advantage of it and make the best of it, Maeve is a misfit, feminist and incredibly intelligent who urgently needs money for subsist, so she is in charge of the business and looking for clients for the sex clinic. We can name Eric, he is an out gay son of Nigerian immigrants who are bullied by Adam, the director's terrible son. There are many other wonderful characters that I love but it would make this post much longer than we need it to be.

¿Mi opinión de la serie? Deben ver el video para decirles todo. Lo único que voy a decirles es que lamento no haber tenido herramientas como las que propone la serie, que pese a parecer una obra vacía y pornográfica es todo lo opuesto. Pueden ver la serie en Netflix, tiene 3 temporadas y está anunciada la 4ta. No es en lo más absoluto una pérdida tiempo, les aseguro que quedarán tan encantados como yo, eso sí, deben verla con la mente muy abierta.

My opinion of the show? You must watch the video to tell you everything. The only thing I'm going to tell you is that I regret not having had tools like those proposed by the series, which despite seeming like an empty and pornographic work is the opposite. You can watch the series on Netflix, it has 3 seasons and the 4th is announced. It is not at all a waste of time, I assure you that you will be as enchanted as I am, but you must watch it with a very open mind.
