Growing up there was only one thing I know I could do perfectly well in my head but when I try to do it in reality, I end up distracting my family😂😂😂
Do you know what it is? Do you want to guess?
I love great moves and I wish I know how to display that in reality but I only know how to do it well in my head, and that is Dancing hehe.
Are your hobbies different now than when you were a child or teenager?
Have you kept one or more hobbies all through your life?
My hobbies aren't different now. I have always loved singing and listening to good music and over time even till now, I've grown to love it more because it makes me happy.
I remember many years ago, I was still very young, I'm not sure I was already a teenager then. My dad would always play music sung by artists like R.kelly, Kirk Franklin, Don Meon, Nicole C. Mullen, Women of faith, and many more gospel artists like that. Each time those songs were played, I would go behind one of the chairs we had in the living room which had a hiding space, and start crying.
I may not have understood what the song meant or the message the artist was trying to pass but I knew that it was a gospel song. The harmony, the voice, the rhythm touches my soul that I always end up crying.
I've always had it in mind to be a great musician someday. There was a time in my teenage days I tried composing a song, two songs were from the bible.
Oh Lord God of host
Hear my prayers
Do not turn your back on them
Hear our prayers
Oh my God.
For some reason, I never forgot it, it stayed in my heart till now.
I have more hobbies now, two is more right?
Well, I love surfing the internet and reading interesting and informative articles. Ever since I learned about makeup, working on a beautiful face has become my hobby too.
One major reason why I love my hobbies and why they are my hobbies is because doing them gives me joy, it makes me feel like I am completely out of an environment that is filled with struggles and challenges, in other words, I feel like I'm in a different world.
I shall be uploading a short video of me performing a song, a gospel song titled 'Trust in you' by Lauren Daigle. I shared the full version on the hive open mic community.
Before you go ahead to watch the video, I'd recommend you use a headphone, please. The reduced volume seems to be a fault from the phone I used in recording.
I invite @iskafan to join.
