Un poderoso recuerdo de mi proyecto musical con la Orquesta - F.U.M.O. 10º Aniversario || A powerfu

Cada concierto de F.U.M.O. (Funerales de Una Mente Oxidada) ha sido único y memorable, cada uno de los conciertos que logré hacer con el proyecto han sido mágicos y vivirlo ha sido maravilloso. Mi idea con el proyecto, desde un inicio, ha sido aventurarme a mostrar algo distinto, que no sea solo escuchar la música simplemente, si no de preparar algo que no se compare con nada, tanto para mi como para el público asistente. De alguna manera he sido bastante afortunado con cada uno de los eventos que he ofrecido desde F.U.M.O., en este caso superó las expectativas, un concierto que aun lo recuerdo y no se compara con anda.

Each concert of F.U.M.O. (Funerals of a Rusty Mind) has been unique and memorable, each of the concerts that I managed to do with the project have been magical and living it has been wonderful. My idea with the project, from the beginning, has been to venture to show something different, not just to listen to the music, but to prepare something that does not compare to anything, both for me and for the audience. Somehow I have been quite fortunate with each of the events I have offered since F.U.M.O., in this case exceeded expectations, a concert that I still remember and does not compare to anything else.

Darlo todo en cada concierto, tanto en la idea, organización y en la presentación, contribuyó en mi una gran confianza para ir realizando cada vez mas desafíos, de reconocer y creer mi vena de artista, pero también la mas sensible y humana. Para esta fecha, ya tenía algunas presentaciones en mi haber que garantizaban credibilidad y singularidad en cada una de las presentaciones. El concierto fue realizado dentro de las instalaciones del Hotel Venetur, Cumaná - Edo. Sucre, una vez mas improvisé el escenario, lo decoré y adorné con las poesías que tenía impresas de la Exposición.

Giving my all in each concert, both in the idea, organization and presentation, contributed in me a great confidence to be doing more and more challenges, to recognize and believe in my artistic vein, but also the most sensitive and human. For this date, I already had some presentations under my belt that guaranteed credibility and uniqueness in each of the presentations. The concert was held in the facilities of the Venetur Hotel, Cumaná - Sucre State, once again I improvised the stage, decorated it and adorned it with the poems that I had printed from the Exposition.

Hasta esta fecha el proyecto estaba dando mucho de que hablar, eso generaba presión en mi de cada vez hacer algo totalmente distinto, un concierto, una experiencia única. No sentía que era por alguna fama o de llenarme de prestigio para incrementar mi ego, sino mas bien, cada concierto era un reto para superarme a mi mismo un poco mas. En una oportunidad fue a buscar a un amigo al lugar donde ensayaba el Coro Sinfónico del Edo. Sucre y para mi sorpresa, al llegar al lugar escucho que tenían montada la pieza de Mozart "Lacrimosa", solo escuchar eso me paró los pelos y vino todo a mi cabeza, el performance perfecto conjuntamente en acompañamiento de la Orquesta de Cámara, que ya tenía prevista su participación.

Up to this date the project was giving a lot to talk about, that generated pressure in me to do something totally different every time, a concert, a unique experience. I didn't feel it was for some fame or to fill me with prestige to increase my ego, but rather, each concert was a challenge to surpass myself a little more. On one occasion I went to pick up a friend at the place where the Symphonic Choir of Sucre State was rehearsing and to my surprise, upon arriving at the place I heard that they had mounted the Mozart piece "Lacrimosa", just hearing that made my hair stand on end and everything came to my head, the perfect performance together with the accompaniment of the Chamber Orchestra, which had already planned its participation.

El otro desafío que me planteé era como hacerlo distinto, que fuera una sorpresa, y coordinar a toda esa cantidad de personas para abrir un espectáculo, de verdad que fue una total locura. Cuando hablé con mi amigo para saber la posibilidad de que gran parte de los integrantes del Coro Sinfónico asistieran a mi loca idea. No fue algo tan concreto de un si rotundo, pero estaba la posibilidad, sin embargo, con el temor que no fueran los suficientes como para que la pieza de Mozart quedara como se debe. Mi estrategia, en vista de la incertidumbre de su participación, fue no anunciarlos en el poster ni nada, se me ocurrió que de ellos hacer presencia, se mezclaran y dispersaran dentro del público asistente y desde allí hicieran la interpretación de "Lacrimasa", (una lastima que no tengo registro audiovisual de esta parte del concierto).

The other challenge I set myself was how to make it different, to make it a surprise, and to coordinate all those people to open a show, it was really crazy. When I talked to my friend about the possibility of having most of the members of the Symphonic Choir attend my crazy idea. It wasn't something so concrete of a resounding yes, but there was a chance, however, with the fear that not enough of them would be there to make the Mozart piece look as it should. My strategy, in view of the uncertainty of their participation, was not to announce them on the poster or anything, it occurred to me that if they were present, they would mingle and disperse within the audience and from there they would perform the interpretation of "Lacrimasa", (a pity that I have no audiovisual record of this part of the concert).

Lo que mas me causa gracia de toda esta historia al recordarla es que, por lo regular, las bandas ensayan y se preparan para la fecha en cuestión, pero con esta loca idea era complejo reunir a tantas personas la menos un día para hacer un ensayo general. Dentro de ese pensamiento, me abrumaba pero solo trataba de confiar en que todo saldría bien. Lo que me aferró a la confianza fue cuando conversé con Eudin Ramos, director de la Orquesta de Cámara Mariscal Sucre, para ensayar la menos una vez me contesto: "No hay que ensayar, tranquilo, ya ensayamos en los conciertos anteriores, esas partituras ya están, eso sale". Dios, eso fue para mi la demencia total, solo me tocaba practicar yo sin mas.

The funny thing about this whole story as I remember it is that, usually, bands rehearse and prepare for the date in question, but with this crazy idea it was complex to get so many people together for at least one day to do a dress rehearsal. Within that thought, I was overwhelmed but just trying to trust that everything would work out. What gave me confidence was when I talked to Eudin Ramos, director of the Mariscal Sucre Chamber Orchestra, to rehearse at least once, he told me: "There is no need to rehearse, relax, we already rehearsed in previous concerts, those scores are already there, it comes out". God, that was total insanity for me, I just had to practice without further ado.

De verdad que tocar con música académicos es una cosa de otro mundo, compartir la música con ellos cuando tu has dado golpes empíricamente es una cosa de locos. La anécdota que mas recuerdo de este concierto fue que al terminar el público quería seguir escuchando pero ya no había mas canciones, por lo que algunas personas del sugirieron que repitiéramos la del repertorio, repetimos par de canciones para culminar y complacerlos.

Really, playing with academic music is something out of this world, sharing music with them when you have been playing empirically is crazy. The anecdote that I remember most about this concert was that at the end of the concert the audience wanted to continue listening but there were no more songs, so some people suggested that we repeat the repertoire, we repeated a couple of songs to finish and please them.
