    About :

Hello everyone welcome to another episode of Hive Learners Creative Sunday Initiative with George Dee. For today's entry, I will take you through the process of making a delicious pancake recipe and I hope you enjoy it.

Pancake is a common snack and there are several recipes out there for everyone to enjoy. So far, my favourite among the recipes is to Banana & Oat recipe because of the presence of banana which is a natural sweetener. I have heard people refer to pancakes as junk food which I disagree with because it's not just delicious but also nutritious.

Banana and Oat pancakes are packed with lots of nutrients from the ingredients and it's a good one for any gender or age group as long as you can chew.

I enjoy bananas a lot just like I love plantain but it's the other way around for oats. Growing up, oat wasn't my thing but since I found this recipe, I became a regular with oat and if there is one way I want to keep enjoying my oatmeal, it would be using it for pancakes.

To enjoy this delicious snack, and you really don't need many ingredients. You need just a few things that wouldn't cost you much money and it would interest you to know that I spent less than a dollar on this yummy snack.

    Ingredients

    • Banana
    • Oatmeal
    • Eggs
    • Milk
    • Baking powder
    • Groundnut oil.

    Procedure

Banana and Oat pancake is very easy to prepare and doesn't take much time. It is the same process of making your pancakes but just with different ingredients.

Let's always remember that total hygiene in the kitchen is very important. All our ingredients and utensils must be properly cleaned before preparing any meal.

    • I started by mashing the banana in a bowl with a turning stick, I did that for a few seconds since the banana is soft and doesn't require much strength.

    • After properly mashing the banana, I added the eggs and mixed thoroughly until they blended in well with each other.

    • I added the milk, oatmeal and half a spoonful of baking powder. I mixed thoroughly again until everything blended in well before moving to the final process.

    • I oiled the pan first and made sure all the pan was covered with oil. You don't need much oil since we are not doing a deep fry.
    • I poured the mixture into the hot pan and allowed it to fry on low heat because excess heat would burn it immediately.

    • I allowed the side on the pan to fry for about 90 seconds and flipped the pancake to the uncooked side. I left it for another 90 seconds and removed it when it was ready.

    • I repeated the process for the remaining mixture and had lots of delicious pancakes for myself. I brought some honey to the party and it took things to a whole new level.

Banana & Oat pancakes are healthy and nutritious. All the ingredients have values they will add to your body so just serve this will chill juice.

    Happy Sunday everyone.
