    About :

    Hello everyone, welcome to another episode of Hive Learner's Creative Sunday Initiative. It's a beautiful Sunday, and I am so in love with the weather. It's been a while since it rained, and having it in abundance today means a lot to me.

    As usual, I am always looking forward to Sunday's because there are always things to learn from other members of the Hive Learner's community. For today's entry, I didn't prepare a sumptuous meal, but you will love this simple craft I made from simple materials.

    Engaging in crafts is one of the things I enjoy doing in my leisure time. It's another way of cutting myself away from my worries and everything happening in the world, so it's a good activity for me. Back in junior high, Introductory to Technology used to be one of my favorite subjects because we did a lot of practicals where I learned a few things related to craft.

    So, I made a wooden phone holder, and it's really simple for anyone who wants to make one.

    Material needed;

    • Black gloss paint
    • Flat plank
    • Brown gum
    • Cutting Saw
    • Pencil
    • Paint brush.

    Procedure;

    I started by marking out the plank size I needed for the phone holder.

    Every phone holder must have a phone rest and stopper. The phone will relax on the rest while the stopper prevents it from sliding off.

    I marked the spot for the phone rest and stopper, so that made it easy for me to know the length of the plank I needed.

    After getting the size, I moved on to cutting the phone rest and stopper from the remaining plank.

    The phone rest has to be taller than the stopper, and you don't need a tall stopper so it doesn't cover the phone screen.

    I applied gum to the bottom of the phone stopper and rest, and carefully placed them on the spot marked on the first plank at the beginning.

    Voila!!! The phone holder is ready, but it looks too ordinary, so I went on to paint it.

    It would have been okay to use a spray, but I settled for the gloss paint since that is what I have.

    But before painting, I used the tape to make some designs, just as the spirit led, because I practically didn't know what I was doing and my intention was to just beautify the phone holder.

    After putting the tape in the spots I wanted, I started painting immediately.

    I removed the tape after painting and left the phone holder to dry before using it.

    This is the outcome, and I hope you love it.
