Greetings to all my splinterlands and art loving friends. It's been days since I posted on my blog, but I'm glad to share with you my participation in the weekly Splinterlands art contest.

This contest is simple, but not easy, because we have to create an artistic publication inspired by the card game. It's a great thing, because it invites us to test our creativity and artistic vision and create something amazing. It sounds simple on paper, but every artistic work has its difficulty, but it is well worth the effort.

For this week I was inspired by a card called Lily Shieldpaw.

To make this figurine I used materials that I usually use in my plasticine figures. For this figure I didn't need a skeleton, because it is a light piece that doesn't need one. It is seated and because of its shape it does not run the risk of deforming.

I simply used colored plasticine, a wire for the tail, and a knitting needle to give it that beautiful fur shape that can be seen in the photos.

Although in the video you can see that I made the figure with some ease, it is certainly not easy to do, because sometimes simple shapes tend to have a certain degree of difficulty and I even find it easier to make more complex figures than a figure, such as this panda.

The card featured 3 very adorable animals, such as a black and white panda, a sort of white tiger and this red panda in front. Although it would have been great to do all 3, I decided to focus on only one of these, as I plan to do a series with each of them, but let's go with the red panda first.

This red panda has a brick color that is quite difficult to replicate. Although I achieved the color, I told myself that it didn't look quite right, so I added a little purple and now it was really beautiful, at least I liked how it looked.

Well, as you can see in the video I began to mold each piece separately. Although it was a solid sculpture, I did it in parts to make it easier to work with.

I started with the torso, the base of the figure, then with the legs, which are the ones that served as support for the figure to sit on. Then with the small arms and finally with the head and the details of the fur.

It has many details that I know I did not complete, but come on, my idea was not to make the figurine as it is on the card, but with an adorable style that enchants the eyes. To me, when I finished the figurine, it looked like an angry panda that looks really good.

Well folks, that's all for now. I invite you to watch the video and leave your opinions about this creation below in the comments, as always I will be happy to read them. With nothing more to add, I'll say goodbye then....

    **See you next time!
