MONEY ARTA: THE JOKER -ACRYLIC PAINTING [ENG-ESP]

Hello, how are you friends, I hope you are well, I want to share with you a short video of my latest painting on a Venezuelan banknote, it is the Joker, represented by the late Heath Ledger who played a legendary role as the clown prince of crime of Gotham City. I made this painting yesterday but I didn't upload it due to problems with the electricity, I hope you like how the video turned out.

Hola que tal amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, quiero compartir con ustedes un video corto de mi última pintura sobre un billete venezolano, se trata del Joker, representado por el difunto Heath Ledger quien hizo un papel legendario como el príncipe payaso del crimen de Ciudad Gótica. Esta pintura la hice el día de ayer pero no la puse subir por problemas con la energía eléctrica, espero que les guste como quedó el video.

I took one of my old bills, the ones that no longer have value, and started painting over the figure I had printed. I made the outline of the Joker figure and then painted towards the inside of the drawing with white paint. The next step was to make the lines for the face, by painting the background white it is easier to make the drawing.

Tomé uno de mis billetes antiguos, de los que ya no tienen valor y comencé a pintar encima de la figura que traía impreso. Hice el contorno de la figura del Joker para después pintar hacia el interior del dibujo con pintura blanca. EL siguiente paso fue hacer los trazos para el rostro, al pintar de blanco el fondo resulta más fácil hacer el dibujo.

After making the strokes I begin to paint, the makeup that the Joker uses is very deteriorated, painted badly on purpose, a symbol of his mental imbalance, so I paint this entire area in layers, starting with the white and then doing the rest of the makeup little by little, where I put special emphasis is on the scars, in my opinion the most difficult part to draw. In the eyes I don't paint directly with a dark color but I do a gradation of colors until that part becomes dark.

Después de hacer los trazos comienzo a pintar, el maquillaje que usa el Joker esta muy deteriorado, pintado mal a propósito, símbolo de su desequilibrio mental, así que pinto toda toda esta zona por capas, comenzando con el blanco y luego haciendo el resto del maquillaje poco a poco, donde hago especial énfasis es en las cicatrices, a mi parecer la parte más difícil de dibujar. En los ojos no pinto directamente de color oscuro sino que voy haciendo una degradación de colores hasta tornar esa parte oscura.

If the sorto seemed a disaster, the hair is not far behind, and it is also poorly painted by the Joker, nothing is known about him here, he is not like the Joker in the comics, who tells several stories about his origin, but everyone knows that he went crazy after falling into the acid tank. This Joker is insane, but with a clear political tendency towards anarchy, as opposed to Batman who represents order, so his hair represents all the chaos.

Si el sorto parecía un desastre, el cabello no se queda detrás, y es que también está mal pintado por parte del Joker, aquí no se sabe nada de él, no es como el Joker de los comics, que cuenta varias historias acerca de su origen, pero todos saben que enloqueció luego de caer al tanque de ácidos. Este Joker está demente, pero con una clara tendencia política hacia a la anaquía, en oposición a Batman que representa el orden, así que su cabello representa todo el caos.

For the end I obviously left the mouth, the Joker talks a lot, unlike Batman, who has few words, and those scars have many macabre stories. The truth is that that psychotic smile disturbs the entire city. I left it for last to paint it with more patience and not lose the essence of the character. To finish, I added his phrase: Why so serious?

Para el final dejo obviamente la boca, el Joker habla mucho, al contrario de Batman, quien es de pocas palabras, y esas cicatrices tiene muchas historias macabras. Lo cierto es que esa sonrisa de psicóptada perturba a toda la ciudad. La dejé para el final para pintarla con mas paciencia y no perder la esencia dle personaje. Para terminar, agregué su frase: Por qué tan serio?

This is how I finished this painting of the Joker, he is one of the movie villains that I like the most, along with Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Hanns Landa, another class of psychopaths with different motivations. Así quedo finalazida esta pintura del Joker, es uno de los villanos del cine que más me gustan, junto al doctor Hannibal Lecter y a Hanns Landa, otra clase de psicópatas con motivaciones diferentes.
