As of today we already have a statement from @hivewatchers where in summary they tell us that: If you use AI-generated text, refuse rewards. If you use AI-generated images, say so and you don't have to refuse bounties.

The first post I saw was from @azircon and I think the HW post came from that.

The first thing I want to mention is that I am very glad that the topic is being discussed. I feel we need to talk about this ad nauseum. I think we are not prepared for what is coming and the best way to do that is to discuss a lot, all ideas without discarding any.

In our community we have been talking about it for some time and the only idea we have come to in common, is that you should always say what is created by AI. Honesty in Hive always comes first, so that the curators can decide without cheating or deception.

With this AI issue I am very careful to take a single, firm stance. I understand how quickly this is evolving. I have a passion for this new technology, but also a lot of curiosity about where it might take us.

I have never agreed with prohibitions; on the contrary, I am a proponent of each individual creating their own barriers to entry in their businesses. It may be that HW's stance is a barrier to entry for AI, even if it moves away from being organic and decentralized.

This reminds me of the recent protest by artists against AI; something I see as meaningless. Handmade art will always have its place, just as handmade products have always been valued for years, in the face of industrialization. Artists waste energy protesting against a technology that is not going to stop. They can use that energy to evolve their art and have a higher barrier.

Another thing to analyze, is whether it's low effort content, reward pool farming, or AI content that bothers. What do consumers want? Time will tell. Currently manual, human content is still winning in preference. Maybe in the future people will prefer AI, I don't know. Are we ready for that? If Hive is looking for content consumers, it wouldn't get them in that hypothetical case.

There is also the opposite side, where Hive becomes an oasis and we only have human content, while other platforms abound with AI. This would be very interesting and would mark a differential in favor of our blockchain and a highlight as a brand. Would it be possible because of its decentralized nature to reach that consensus?

Maybe in the future, only face-to-face actions will have that value for us and the digital will be worked by robots.

Today I have more doubts than certainties. The only certainties I have are that we are not prepared and that technology only advances without asking.

My doubts are:
Do we agree to ban AI? What is really behind it? Is it possible?

If the global trend is towards AI-created content, will it be banned in Hive?

Will AI replace content creators? What about curators? Will it replace all humans? Will we become extinct? XD

I have a crazy idea (out of millions of possibilities) that in the future there will be no need for money and in that case cryptocurrencies are going to disappear. This is for another post 🙃

La primera publicación que vi fue de @azircon y pienso qu el post de HW vino por eso.

Lo primero que quiero mencionar es que me alegra mucho que el tema se esté discutiendo. Siento que debemos hablar de esto hasta el cansancio. Pienso que no estamos preparados para lo que viene y la mejor forma de hacerlo es discutir mucho, todas las ideas sin descartar ninguna.

En nuestra comunidad llevamos algún tiempo hablando del tema y a la única idea que llegamos en común, es que siempre se debe decir lo que es creado por IA. La honestidad en Hive siempre es lo primero, para que los curadores puedan decidir sin trampas ni engaños.

Con este tema de la IA me cuido mucho de tomar una postura única y firme. Entiendo lo rápido que esto está evolucionando. Siento pasión por esta nueva tecnología, pero también mucha curiosidad hacia dónde nos puede llevar.

Nunca he estado de acuerdo con prohibiciones; por el contrario, soy partidario que cada individuo cree sus propias barreras de entrada en sus negocios. Puede que la postura de HW sea una barrera de entrada para la IA, aunque se aleje de ser orgánica y descentralizada.

Esto me recuerda a la protesta reciente de los artistas contra la IA; algo que veo sin sentido. El arte manual siempre tendrá su espacio, así como los productos hechos a mano siempre son valorados desde hace años, frente a la industrialización. Los artistas pierden energía protestando contra una tecnología que no se va a detener. Esa energía la pueden usar para evolucionar su arte y tener una barrera más alta.

Otra de las cosas para analizar, es que si lo que molesta es el contenido de bajo esfuerzo, el farmeo de la piscina de recompensas, o el contenido de IA. ¿Qué quieren los consumidores? El tiempo lo dirá. Actualmente el contenido manual, humano, sigue ganando en preferencia. Puede que en un futuro la gente prefiera el de IA, no lo sé. ¿Estamos preparados para eso? Si Hive busca consumidores de contenido, no los conseguiría en ese hipotético caso.

También está el lado opuesto, donde Hive se convierte en un oasis y solo tenemos contenido humano, mientras que en otras plataformas abundara la IA. Esto sería muy interesante y marcaría un diferencial a favor de nuestra blockchain y un punto resaltante como marca. ¿Sería posible por su naturaleza descentralizada llegar a ese consenso?

Quizás en un futuro, solo las acciones presenciales tendrán ese valor para nosotros y lo digital será trabajado por robots.

Al día de hoy solo tengo más dudas que certezas. Las únicas certezas que tengo son, que no estamos preparados y que la tecnología solo avanza sin preguntar.

Mis dudas son:
¿Estamos de acuerdo en prohibir la IA? ¿Qué realmente hay detrás de eso? ¿Se puede?

Si la tendencia mundial se inclina al contenido creado por IA, ¿Estará prohibido en Hive?

¿La IA sustituirá a los creadores de contenido? ¿Y los curadores? ¿Sustituirá a todos los humanos? ¿Nos extinguiremos? XD

Tengo una idea loca (de millones de posibilidades) que en el futuro no se necesitará el dinero y en ese caso las criptomonedas van a desaparecer. Esto es para otra publicación 🙃
