Holozing Fire Wolf Fanart Watercolor Painting

Hello dear friends, I hope you are very well, this is my second publication in the community, and on this occasion I share a Fanart painting of the Fire Wolf creature from Holozing, I made it with the watercolor technique since I wanted the illustration It was a little cute, apart from that I wanted to alter the design a little and make it with warmer colors. Hope you like.

Hola queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, esta es mi segunda publicación en la comunidad, y en esta oportunidad comparto una pintura Fanart de la criatura Lobo de Fuego de Holozing, la hice con la técnica de acuarela ya que deseaba que la ilustración estuviera un poco tierna, a parte de eso que quería alterar un poco el diseño y hacerlo con colores más cálidos. Espero que les guste.

I wanted to draw the sketch in Chibi style but I think it came out too Kawai hahaha but it doesn't matter, I think the design turned out better than I would have imagined. So I did it with a 2H pencil on watercolor paper, so I don't use the pencil much so as not to ruin it, just to mark the strokes.

Quise dibujar el boceto en estilo Chibi pero creo que me salio demasiado Kawai jjjajaja pero no importa, el diseño creo que me quedó mejor de lo que yo habría imaginado. Así que lo hice con lápiz 2H sobre papel para acuarelas, así que no uso mucho el lápiz para no estropearlo, solo para marcar los trazos.

I start painting with yellow for the edges, my idea is to make the entire body as if it were a flame of fire, so I start with the lightest part of the fire, which is the yellow edge. The good thing about watercolors is that if you add a little water, the color remains very intense, but if you add plenty of water, the color can lighten more, so you can play with the contrasts.

Comienzo a pintar con color amarillo para los bordes, mi idea es hacer todo el cuerpo como si fuera llama de fuego, así que comienzo por la parte más clara del fuego que es el borde amarillo. Lo bueno de las acuarelas es que si se le agrega poca agua, el color queda bien intenso, pero si se le pone agua abundante, el color puede aclarar mas, así se puede jugar con los contrastes.

In the next step I added a little more color, especially orange, to make the fire gradient. First with a slightly soft layer of orange, like to stain the paper, then I added less water and more color and thus I was able to darken the orange color more. Following this step I then added red color for some more shadowed parts.

En el siguiente paso agregué un poco más de color, especialmente naranja, para hacer la degradación del fuego. Primero con una capa de naranja un poco suave, como para manchar el papel, después agregué menos agua y más color y así pude oscurecer más el color naranja. Siguiendo este paso luego agregué color rojo para algunas partes más sombreadas.

Then I add the red color as needed, especially I paint the face, where I make a contrast using purple to add more volume. I painted his eyes blue, this decision was arbitrary, I think that being a creature of fire, he must retain some of the water element, and I think his eyes suit him very well. Finally I began to outline the entire drawing with black watercolor.

Después agrego el color rojo en las pares que haga falta, especialmente pinto el rostro, donde hago un contraste usando color púrpura para agregar mas volumen. Los ojos los pintpe de azul, esta decisión fue arbitraria, pienso que al ser una criatura de fuego, debe conservar algo del elemento agua, y creo que en los ojos le va muy bien. Por último comencé a delinear todo el dibujo con acuarela negra.

This is how this FanArt of the Fire Wolf was finished, when I look at it closely, it has some feline features, but I was very satisfied, it was what I wanted to achieve. Así quedó finalizado este FanArt del Lobo de Fuego, cuando lo obervo bien, tiene algunos rasgos felinos, pero quedé muy conforme, era lo que quería lograr.
