El tema del proyecto me encantó, los niños aman los animales, así que se mantuvieron muy entusiasmados durante estos meses, pero lo que realmente me fascinó, fue el método de evaluación, a cada niño se le asignó un animal y debieron preparar una exposición sobre él. Es maravilloso, solo tienen tres años y ya vivieron esta experiencia, sin duda es algo que les será útil toda su vida, porque pararse frente a un público y hablarles sobre cualquier tema, no es tan fácil como parece.

A mi hijo le correspondió la tortuga, me pareció excelente porque él está familiarizado con ellas desde bebe, ya que teníamos un par en casa. Para prepararnos para su exposición, lo primero que realizamos fue su lámina de presentación, dibuje una tortuga y redacte un pequeño párrafo, con el cual estuvimos practicando todos los días.

Básicamente, se trataba de describir el animal, decir sus características principales, con un lenguaje sencillo, para que los niños lo entendieran. Practicamos, todos los días y a veces era difícil conseguir que el niño se concentrara porque comenzaba a juguetear, pero al final, se aprendió todo y en casa lo hacía fantástico.

Llegó el día de la exposición, preparé arepas andinas rellenas de jamón y queso para compartir con los demás niños y nos fuimos al preescolar. Cuando comenzó, la exposición él estaba nervioso, hablo en un tono bajo, con timidez, pero lo hizo muy bien. Vamos, si yo hubiese hecho exposiciones desde pequeña, seguramente escribiera menos y hablara más en los videos jajaja.

Fue hermoso, estar ahí para apoyarlo y fue maravilloso pasar una mañana con él y ver como interactúa con el resto del salón. Una experiencia formidable.

I loved the project's subject, kids love animals, so they were very excited during these months, but what really fascinated me, was the evaluation method, each child was assigned an animal and they had to prepare an exhibition about it. It's wonderful, they're only three years old and they already lived this experience, it's definitely something that will be useful to them their whole life, because standing in front of an audience and talking to them about any subject, is not as easy as it seems.

My son was assigned the turtle, I thought it was excellent because he's familiarized with them since he was a baby, because we had a couple at home. To prepare for his exhibition, the first thing we did was his presentation poster, I drew a turtle and wrote a small paragraph, with which we practiced every day.

Basically, it was about describing the animal, saying its main characteristics, with simple language, so that the kids could understand it. We practiced every day and sometimes it was difficult to get the child to focus because he started playing around, but in the end, he learned everything and he did it great at home.

The day of the exhibition arrived, I prepared some andean arepas stuffed with ham and cheese to share with the other kids and we went to preschool. When it started, he was nervous during the exhibition, he spoke in a low tone, with shyness, but he did it very well. I mean, if I had made exhibitions since I was a child, I would probably write less and talk more in the videos hahaha.

It was beautiful, being there to support him and it was wonderful to spend a morning with him and see how he interacts with the rest of the classroom. A great experience.
