La alegría de la navidad llega a todos lados y las instituciones educativas no son la excepción, algo que me parece genial, porque así los niños pueden vivir la ilusión y la alegría que envuelven estas fechas, en su segundo hogar, llamado escuela. Hoy estoy muy feliz de saludarlos y compartir con ustedes algunas de las actividades navideñas que el Jardín de infancia donde estudia mi hijo, ha preparado para alegrar a todos los pequeños.

El pasado miércoles, se celebró en la institución el parrandón navideño, una actividad cultural donde los padres y representantes fuimos invitados, sin duda, fue una actividad hermosa, llena de toda esa felicidad que solo los niños nos pueden dar, gracias a su carisma, simpatía e inocencia.

El acto, no podía iniciar mejor, pues la apertura estuvo a cargo de la sección 1, donde están los más pequeños del preescolar, entre ellos mi hijo y mi sobrina, fue simplemente hermoso, verlos entrar al escenario, tomados de las manos, como pueden ver en el video y después verlos bailar un popurri de canciones y villancicos navideños muy populares en mi país. Esto me sorprendió, no tenía idea de que los niños bailarían, era una sorpresa de las profesoras para nosotros, vaya sorpresa, el simple hecho que se paren al frente de un grupo numeroso de personas, que no conocen y traten de seguir la coreografía es genial. Son niños de dos y tres años de edad Wow!. Se veían adorables.

The joy of Christmas is everywhere and educational institutions are no exception, something that I think is great, because this way children can live the illusion and joy that surround these dates, in their second home, called school. Today I am very happy to greet you and share with you some of the Christmas activities that the kindergarten where my son studies, has prepared to cheer up all the little ones.

Last Wednesday, the Christmas party was held in the institution, a cultural activity where parents and representatives were invited, without a doubt, it was a beautiful activity, full of all that happiness that only children can give us, thanks to their charisma, sympathy and innocence.

The event could not start better, because the opening was in charge of section 1, where the youngest of the preschool are, among them my son and my niece, it was simply beautiful, to see them enter the stage, holding hands, as you can see in the video and then watch them dance a medley of Christmas songs and carols very popular in my country. This surprised me, I had no idea that the children would dance, it was a surprise from the teachers to us, what a surprise, the simple fact that they stand in front of a large group of people, who do not know and try to follow the choreography is great. They are two and three year olds Wow!. They looked adorable.

El corazón se me quería salir del pecho, de la emoción y el orgullo que sentí al ver a mi hijo, desenvolviéndose en el escenario, a donde se fue ese niño que, hace un par de meses, sentía miedo de entrar al preescolar. Me encanta ver, como evoluciona y progresa cada día de su vida, esta es, sencillamente, la mayor satisfacción que como padres podemos sentir, verlos felices y creciendo de la mejor manera. Él me buscaba con la mirada entre el público y de vez en cuando me saludaba con sus manitos, qué agradecida estoy, por tener esa oportunidad de asistir a este acto, no quiero imaginar lo triste que me sentiría si no fuese así, porque desafortunadamente no todos los niños pueden contar con la presencia de sus padres en estos momentos, por distintas razones y eso siempre es lamentable.

My heart wanted to burst out of my chest, from the emotion and pride I felt when I saw my son performing on the stage, where that child who, a couple of months ago, was afraid to enter preschool, went. I love to see how he evolves and progresses every day of his life, this is simply the greatest satisfaction we as parents can feel, to see them happy and growing in the best way. He was looking for me with his eyes in the audience and from time to time he would greet me with his little hands, how grateful I am to have the opportunity to attend this event, I do not want to imagine how sad I would feel if it were not so, because unfortunately not all children can count on the presence of their parents at this time, for various reasons and that is always unfortunate.

Después de que los niños bailaron, se presentaron los demás niños, con bailes y coreografías hermosas y divertidas, fue un acto muy entretenido, que finalizó con una obra de teatro, llamado la estampita de navidad, fue una obra de comedia, donde los profesores representaron el nacimiento de una forma diferente, con mucha gracia pero dejando claro el verdadero significado de la navidad, invitándonos a celebrar estas fiestas en armonía y paz, enseñándoles a los niños el don del amor, la bondad y la generosidad.

Al finalizar la parranda compartimos un delicioso pan con chocolate y disfrutamos de una exposición de arte con todas las creaciones de nuestros niños, pero de esto, les hablaré en mi siguiente publicación en la comunidad. Nos retiramos este día del Preescolar, con un buen sabor de boca, no solo por el chocolate, sino por la satisfacción de disfrutar y fortalecer ese vínculo importante, entre padres, profesores y alumnos. Pues, es fundamental ser un gran equipo, por el bien de nuestros niños.

After the children danced, the other children performed, with beautiful and fun dances and choreographies, it was a very entertaining act, which ended with a play, called the Christmas card, it was a comedy play, where the teachers represented the birth in a different way, with a lot of grace but making clear the true meaning of Christmas, inviting us to celebrate these holidays in harmony and peace, teaching the children the gift of love, kindness and generosity.

At the end of the parranda we shared a delicious bread with chocolate and enjoyed an art exhibition with all the creations of our children, but I will tell you about this in my next publication in the community. We left the preschool this day with a good taste in our mouths, not only for the chocolate, but also for the satisfaction of enjoying and strengthening that important bond between parents, teachers and students. It is essential to be a great team, for the good of our children.

Pero esta no ha sido la única actividad navideña en la que los niños han participado, también formaron parte de la decoración y el día viernes fue su fiesta navideña, donde tuvieron un rico almuerzo navideño, que consto de una hallaca de pollo, ensalada navideña (realizada por mí) y pan. También le prepararon una torta y Santa los visito en su salón para entregarle un hermoso cotillón lleno de golosinas y así finalizaron el primer momento educativo y le dieron la bienvenida a las vacaciones.

But this has not been the only Christmas activity in which the children have participated, they were also part of the decoration and on Friday was their Christmas party, where they had a delicious Christmas lunch, which consisted of a chicken hallaca, Christmas salad (made by me) and bread. They also prepared a cake and Santa visited them in their living room to give them a beautiful cotillion full of goodies and thus ended the first educational moment and welcomed them to the vacations.

Consideró que este tipo de actividades, son beneficiosas para nuestros hijos, porque sin duda, fortalece su desarrollo, de distintas maneras, no solo reciben momentos llenos de amor y alegría, sino que desarrollan su creatividad. Aprenden a conocer más del entorno social que los rodea, de las tradiciones de su región. Mejoran su autoestima, se sienten más apoyados al ver a sus padres, mejoran sus habilidades sociales y comienzan a perder desde pequeños el miedo escénico que, sin duda, les dará una ventaja en el futuro.

Adoro disfrutar cada uno de estos momentos junto a mi hijo, son experiencias que nos enriquecen, que nos llena de aprendizajes, que nos ayuda a entender más a nuestros hijos y que fortalece nuestros lazos emocionales.

He considered that this type of activities are beneficial for our children, because without a doubt, it strengthens their development in different ways, not only do they receive moments full of love and joy, but they also develop their creativity. They learn to know more about the social environment that surrounds them, the traditions of their region. They improve their self-esteem, they feel more supported when they see their parents, they improve their social skills and they begin to lose stage fright at a young age, which will undoubtedly give them an advantage in the future.

I love to enjoy each of these moments with my son, they are experiences that enrich us, that fill us with learning, that help us to understand our children better and that strengthen our emotional bonds.
