Autopsies reveal that one of the leading causes of death in the world is heart attacks. A very strong impression can trigger horrible endings. Perhaps this is one of those cases and all because of Mara, who carries evil in her veins.

Mara acts in an unusual way. No one has ever seen her in her real form, only in dreams. She says she has the face of her victim, and deforms them so that, upon seeing her, they succumb to terror. There is an evil that can kill the noble heart, and that is when it gets its hands dirty with blood. Have you ever imagined yourself as a murderer? Many would rather die than harm others. And that is what Mara does, she tortures them with her own image because she knows they will not fall into her trap of seeking the souls of others for her own. A few have tried to evade her torture, but to no avail.

Mara feeds on fear and lives for it. She appears to those who have taken an interest in the book of shadows where her name is, just reading the cover of the book is reason enough to get on her list. His last victim was Elia, a quiet girl, innocent of the evil that hung over her. The book of shadows just fell off the shelf in the central library and she picked it up.

After that fleeting encounter with the book, in her sleep poor Elia screamed incessantly. She cried and begged to wake up. Next came the appearance of the witch, Mara. For Elia it was like looking into a cursed mirror. She whispered and Elia's lips were the ones moving: "bring me someone else's soul and I will set you free". Sobbing she said, NO.
That started the real torture, Elia no longer wanted to sleep to not see her. She seemed dead in life, she could not sleep, her dark circles under her eyes showed her tiredness. And in the fleeting minutes that she dozed, Mara was torturing her. First her arm, then her face and finally her neck, the blood flowed rapidly from her body. Elia never woke up from her dreams again. And no one noticed her wounds in her soul, instead, she left young and with no apparent reason to suffer from a heart attack.
