ANIME-THEMED CAFÉ /CAFÉ CON TEMÁTICA DE ANIMÉ

Hello, my beautiful people of @plantpoweronhive! I hope you all are doing great and ready to give always the best.

In my last post I told you that my husband, @n4nd0, had invited me to the opening of an anime-themed Café, but when we arrived we found a very long line, so we decided to come back another time to better enjoy this place and to not miss the trip we went to La Heladería "Sugarland ", place where we had a super nice time from start to finish.

Well, my beautiful people, this weekend we had the opportunity to go to this anime-themed Café, called "Kawai Kona". Fortunately, there was no line and we got in without having to wait.

Now, I invite you to make yourselves comfortable, because I will tell you about our experience.

Before going to the cafe "Kawai Kona " I went on their instagram to take a brief look around and see a bit of what they had to offer. In this little exploration, I came across the menu of which the "Sailor Moon " ice cream and "Pokelatte " caught my eye. The photos I saw of the presentation of this ice cream and latte were quite pleasing to me, so I had no doubt what I wanted to try when I arrived at"Kawai Kona ".
When we arrived we did a quick tour to see where we were going to sit and when we saw the back part of the Café I loved it, first because it was practically outdoors and second because it was decorated with murals of Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away, two of my favorite movies from Studios Gibli; my third favorite is The Princess Mononoke, although I also love Nausica of the Valley of the Wind.

As I was telling you before, I liked the back part to sit at, but there was no room, so we decided to wait a bit, as one of the tables was about to be vacated. In the meantime, we checked out some of the Mangas books they had on their nice shelf, took some pictures there and then sat down at the tables that were at the entrance.

The girl who was serving us, brought us part of the service which were some paper placemats with anime illustrations to color, she also had a printed alphabet soup allusive to the theme and a cup with markers and crayons to do the same.

The truth is that I laughed a lot, because I felt like I was in a preschool, with the difference that this one had ice cream, donuts, cupcakes and many delicious things. Obviously I started coloring and making alphabet soup to live the whole experience and also to make the time pass faster while we were waiting.

As soon as they vacated the table we wanted, we moved to the back and there we ordered an espresso coffee, the "Pokelatte" and the "Sailor Moon" ice cream I told you about in the beginning. But, the disappointment was when the girl told us that both the bean espresso machine and the ice cream machine were damaged and that the coffee she had was from "Nescafe ".

Wow! But, way to take all the excitement and magic out of this place!

Apparently they noticed my disappointment and tried to make me the "Pokelatte ", even with the damaged machine. So I appreciated the effort and the nice touch and received it warmly. However, when I tasted the coffee, I was again disappointed, as it was very watery and did not taste good. Even so, that detail did not ruin the moment, as the chocolate muffin we ordered was really tasty and very fresh, we enjoyed it!

The concept of the "Café Kawai Kona " is good and I liked it a lot, especially because I am a fan of "Studios Gibli " movies and one or another anime. But, that's not all and the truth is that I don't know if I would go back, at least not for a coffee, since I consider myself a coffee taster and I like to enjoy every sip of this aromatic beverage. If a "Café" doesn't give me this experience, then that's not it, unfortunately.

I can't say that I didn't enjoy this place, but the experience I had was half-hearted. Therefore, for me, the "Kawai Kona Coffee " is a 7/10.

@n4nd0 tells me that they should be given a second chance. That they are just starting out and that kind of thing tends to happen.

En mi última publicación les conté que mi esposo, @n4nd0, me había invitado a la inauguración de un Café con temática de animé, pero cuando llegamos nos encontramos con una fila muy larga, así que decidimos regresar en otro momento para disfrutar mejor de este sitio y para no perder el viaje nos fuimos a La Heladería "Sugarland", lugar donde pasamos un rato súper agradable de principio a fin.

Bueno, mi linda gente, este fin de semana se dio la oportunidad de ir a este Café con temática de animé, llamado "Kawai Kona".

Afortunadamente, no había fila y entramos sin tener que esperar.

Ahora, los invito a que se pongan cómodos, porque les relataré sobre nuestra experiencia.

Antes de ir al café "Kawai Kona" entré a su instagram para echar un breve vistazo y ver un poco de lo que ofrecían. En esta pequeña exploración, me encontré con el menú del cual me llamó la atención el Helado "Sailor Moon" y el "Pokelatte". Las fotos que vi de la presentación de este helado y de este latte me gustaron bastante, por lo que no tenía dudas de lo que quería probar cuando llegara a"Kawai Kona".

Cuando llegamos hicimos un rápido recorrido para ver donde nos íbamos a sentar y al ver la parte del fondo del Café me encantó, primero porque estaba prácticamente al aire libre y segundo porque estaba decorado con unos murales de El Castillo Ambulante y el Viaje de Chihiro, dos de mis películas favoritas de Studios Gibli; mi tercera favorita es La Princesa Mononoque, aunque Nausica del Valle del Viento también la amo.

Como les decía antes, me gustó la parte del fondo para sentarnos, pero no había sitio, así que decidimos esperar un poco, ya que una de las mesas estaba por desocuparse. Mientras tanto, revisamos algunos de los libros de Mangas que tenían en su lindo estante, nos tomamos unas fotos allí y luego nos sentamos en las mesas que estaban en la entrada.

La chica que nos estaba atendiendo, nos trajo parte del servicio que fueron unos manteles individuales de papel con ilustraciones de animé para colorear, también tenía impreso una sopa de letras alusiva al tema y un vaso con marcadores y creyones para hacer lo propio.

La verdad es que me dio mucha risa, porque me sentí como si estuviera en un preescolar, con la diferencia que éste tenía helados, donas, cupcakes y muchas cosas deliciosas. Obviamente me puse a colorear y hacer la sopa de letras para vivir la experiencia completa y además para que se pasara el tiempo más rápido mientras esperábamos.

Apenas desocuparon la mesa que queríamos, nos mudamos al fondo y ahí ordenamos un café expreso de granos, el "Pokelatte" y el helado "Sailor Moon" del que les hablé en un principio. Pero, la decepción fue cuando la chica nos dijo que tanto la máquina de café de granos como la de helados estaban dañadas y que el café que tenía era de "Nescafé".

¡Rayos! Pero, qué manera de quitarle toda la emoción y la magia a este lugar!

Al parecer notaron mi decepción y trataron de hacerme el "Pokelatte", aun con la máquina dañada. Por lo que valoré el esfuerzo y el bonito detalle y lo recibí con cariño. Sin embargo, al probar el café, me llevé otra decepción, pues estaba muy aguado y no se sentía rico. Aún así, ese detallazo no arruinó el momento, pues el muffin de chocolate que pedimos, estaba realmente rico y muy fresco, lo disfrutamos!

El concepto del "Café Kawai Kona" está bueno y me gustó bastante, especialmente porque soy fan de las películas de "Studios Gibli" y de uno que otro animé. Pero, eso no lo es todo y la verdad es que no sé si volvería, al menos no por un café, pues me considero una catadora de café y me gusta disfrutar cada sorbo de esta aromática bebida. Si un "Café" no me brinda esta experiencia, entonces ahí no es, lamentablemente.

No puedo decir que no disfruté de este lugar, pero la experiencia que viví fue a medias. Por lo tanto, para mí, el "Café Kawaii Kona" es un 7/10.

@n4nd0 me dice que hay que darles una segunda oportunidad. Que están empezando y que ese tipo de cosas suele suceder.
