    Hello everyone!

I uploaded my birthday celebration post 5 days ago and noted that I'll be having a birthday freedive as my way of celebrating my 28 years in this world. I was really happy it was pushed through. A little bit of backstory, I always treated my birthday as a normal day. I don't want to celebrate it because I thought it's just a waste of effort and money. I even hated that part where I'm forced to respond to those who greeted me on my birthday. This year, I decided to change all that. I wanted to celebrate my birthday on my own terms. So, I already told my parents ahead that I won't be at home and that they don't need to bother preparing something for me.

All I wanted was to freedive in Panagsama, Moalboal on my birthday. I wanted to spend my time with the turtles, sardines, and corals there. I was inspired by @indayclara's birthday celebration a month ago. I was with her during her birthday and we just had a great time freediving in Moalboal. I wanted as simple as that. We already planned this freedive after her birthday last month. But at the end of July, lockdowns were initiated again because of the increasing number of COVID cases here in Cebu. I already set my expectations back then. I thought my birthday celebration would be boring again. I was on the pessimistic side while @indayclara was still so optimistic that it would happen. Good thing travel is still allowed, but there are checkpoints in different cities and municipalities along the way. When we reached Moalboal, it seems we were the only tourists there.

If you've seen @indayclara's post about my birthday celebration, you'll realize how happy I was when they prepared something for me. I didn't expect that at all! All I wanted was to freedive.

This video was taken and edited by @sabanalchristian, a very talented local guide in Moalboal who became friends with @indayclara. She invited him to join Hive and he made an introduction post two days ago. Follow him and be excited about his freediving videos! Throughout our whole stay in Moalboal and even Alegria, Christian was our photographer, videographer, choreographer, and guide. We eventually became friends. He was always cool with whatever shot @indayclara wanted to be taken.

What I love about this video is that he was able to present this calm part of me. That's because I am really calm when I'm underwater. I guess that's the part of freediving that hooked me. The video is all about movement. Although I'm still not that graceful and have a lot to improve, he was able to capture some awesome footage during my freedive.

I hope you'll enjoy the video because I'm really proud of it. Kudos to @sabanalchristian for putting it all together!
