Hello #Hive and #openmic family, as always it is a pleasure to participate in such a wonderful contest, a greeting to all the participants who week after week post their video waiting for the best of you.

This week I bring you a cover of a legendary band from Latin America ENANITOS VERDES and their song "TU CÁRCEL", this song transports me to my time as a kid and rocker, we played this song countless times at parties, concerts, presentations, even in radio interviews.

First steps of the band .

Enanitos Verdes is an Argentine Spanish-language rock band, formed in 1979 in Mendoza, Argentina. Throughout their career they have managed to place in important positions in the Argentine, American and Caribbean charts. It is considered one of the most important Argentine rock bands of the 1980s and of rock in Spanish.

Its original members are Marciano Cantero, Felipe Staiti and Daniel Piccolo. They began with presentations in different clubs, then moving on to small theaters in their province and nearby provinces, becoming in a short time the most popular and requested band in Mendoza and the Cuyo area. At the beginning of 1983 they travel to Buenos Aires to try their luck, performing in clubs and bars. At the beginning of 1984 they traveled again to Buenos Aires to record a demo, with precarious results since it was not published. In spite of this failure they continued performing in Mendoza and the Federal Capital.

In 1984 the trio was invited to participate in the "Festival de La Falda". That year the group was elected "Grupo Revelación" of the Festival, being acclaimed by the public and the specialized press. After the Festival, Cantero, Staiti and Piccolo travel to Buenos Aires, and a new member, Sergio Embroni (guitar and vocals) joins as a guest and they record for the independent record label Mordisco their first LP, homonymously called Los Enanitos Verdes. This first album included the song "Aún sigo cantando", which made havoc in the capital's radios and quickly became a "classic" of Argentine rock. In 1985 Embrioni leaves the band and Tito Dávila (keyboards, composer and singer) joins the band.

In 1986 they released their second album, titled Contrarreloj, with the artistic production of Andrés Calamaro. This album includes songs like Your old letters, Every time I say goodbye and The green wall.

In the fall of 1987 they record the album Strange Rooms, again produced by Calamaro, including, among other songs, I saw you on a train, For the rest and The stranger with long hair. The album was recorded and mixed at Estudios Panda, in Buenos Aires. In this same year, Marciano Cantero sings the song No Te Bancaste (En Sol) on the album Por Mirarte, by Andrés Calamaro.

Hola que tal familia de #Hive y #openmic como siempre esta demás decir que es un placer poder participar en tan maravilloso concurso, un saludo a todos los participantes que semana tras semana postean su video esperando lo mejor de ustedes.

En esta semana les traigo un cover de una banda legendaria de Latino América ENANITOS VERDES y su tema "TU CÁRCEL", este tema me transporta a mi época de chamo y rockero, este tema lo tocamos infinidades de veces en fiestas, conciertos, presentaciones, hasta en entrevistas de radios.

Primeros pasos de la banda

Enanitos Verdes es una banda argentina de rock en español, formada en 1979 en Mendoza, Argentina. A lo largo de su carrera han logrado colocarse en puestos importantes de las listas de popularidad argentinas, de América y el Caribe. Es considerado uno de los grupos más importantes del rock argentino de los años 1980 y del rock en español.

Sus integrantes originales son Marciano Cantero, Felipe Staiti y Daniel Piccolo. Comenzaron con presentaciones en diferentes clubes, pasando luego a pequeños teatros de su provincia y provincias cercanas, convirtiéndose en poco tiempo en la banda más popular y requerida de Mendoza y la zona de Cuyo. A principios de 1983 viajan a Buenos Aires a probar suerte, presentándose en clubes y bares. A principios de 1984 viajan nuevamente a Buenos Aires para grabar un demo, con resultado precarios puesto a que no se publicó. Pese a este fracaso continuaron realizando presentaciones en Mendoza y en la Capital Federal.

En el año 1984 el trío es invitado a participar en el "Festival de La Falda". Ese año el grupo fue elegido "Grupo Revelación" del Festival, siendo aclamado por todo el público y la prensa especializada. Después del Festival, Cantero, Staiti y Piccolo viajan a Buenos Aires, y se incorpora un nuevo integrante, Sergio Embroni (guitarra y voz) como invitado y graban para el sello discográfico independiente Mordisco su primer LP, llamado homónimamente Los Enanitos Verdes. Este primer álbum incluía el tema Aún sigo cantando, que hizo estragos en las radios capitalinas convirtiéndose rápidamente en un "clásico" del rock argentino. En el año 1985 Embrioni deja la banda y se incorpora Tito Dávila, (teclados, compositor y cantante).

En 1986 editan su segundo álbum, titulado Contrarreloj, con la producción artística de Andrés Calamaro. Dicho álbum incluye canciones como Tus viejas cartas, Cada vez que digo adiós y La muralla verde.

En el otoño de 1987 graban el álbum Habitaciones extrañas, producido nuevamente por Calamaro, incluyendo, entre otras canciones, Te vi en un tren, Por el resto y El extraño del pelo largo. El disco fue grabado y mezclado en Estudios Panda, de Buenos Aires. En este mismo año Marciano Cantero canta la canción No Te Bancaste (En Sol) en el disco Por Mirarte, de Andrés Calamaro.
