    English translation

A pleasant greeting to all of you who make life in the @Music community.

Today I want to tell you a little about my beginning in music, and one of the first things I learned.

A few years ago, in the middle of 2013 (if I remember correctly) I went to a youth congress for the first time, it was held in Caripe, Monagas state, called CONJUOR (Oriental Youth Congress) an event that takes place every year at the Las Delicias Institute, in Caripe, and is dedicated to all the Christian churches located in each region of the country and belonging to ASIGEO (Association of Eastern Churches).

At that time I was just beginning in this wonderful world of music, and until now I began to sing my first melodies, I remember that they were somewhat insecure and quite nasal indeed. Let's say that I already had the passion, but I had to try harder and although I knew it, I was quite lazy and insecure. 🤭😅

I am often a bit impatient to learn any trade, I have to admit, and was sometimes very discouraged not having a natural and prodigiously skilled voice, or being born with natural talent like many of the musicians around me.

But, in just a week I changed my mind, and perhaps because I needed to see other perspectives...

I had never been part of an experience as profitable as this one, I remember having met and shared with many musicians who had been making music for a long time and they were inspiring and motivating, since they taught you and prepared you with so much love, and they shared what they they had already learned.

If there is something that I remember well, it is that anyone, no matter how simple they sang or played, could make very good music, they just had to believe in themselves. That was what encouraged me to try harder.

By then I realized that I really wanted to dedicate myself to music and I fell completely in love with it.

Sharing with other young people just like you was super! We innovated our musical tastes and something more than sure, we came home with a new playlist to listen to and repeat as much as we wanted.

Something very peculiar is that at the time of the services, it was impossible for us not to adopt or take with us a new song to sing in the church. That's how I found out about the song I'm playing today.

I really liked being able to immerse myself in music in such a way, since then it has accompanied me wherever I go.

Now I see that despite my short time as a musician in those days, I was able to start developing my ear before learning about vocal techniques and music theory, and sometimes without knowing what I was doing, I just started to harmonize and make my own arrangements.

I can say that it was something very natural to me, then I studied a little more and it became much easier for me to handle the 2nd and 3rd voices.

Something that has always characterized me, being able to put together a harmony without the need for an instrument, and that led me to be able to capture the intention of a song, understand it and then capture everything I could imagine.
