The fourth Bitcoin halving is expected to occur in April 2024 after 840,000 blocks must have been added to the BTC network.

The pre-programmed and protocol-driven event on the Bitcoin network is designed to reduce block rewards by half thereby, reducing the supply rate of BTC.

The fourth bitcoin halving will lead to a reduction of rewards given to BTC miners for validating and securing the network. Particularly, block rewards will be reduced from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC after the fourth halving.

Post-halving, experts predict BTC to surpass $100,000 later this year.
