The S.S. Keewatin was built in 1907, was once the crown jewel of the Canadian Pacific Railway's Great Lakes fleet, carrying passengers and cargo across the waterways of North America. With her towering red funnels, gleaming white paint, and elegant Art Deco interiors, the Keewatin was a symbol of luxury and adventure. Today, she stands as a testament to a bygone era, a floating museum that invites visitors to explore the opulence and engineering marvels of a vanished age. Join us as we journey through the history and wonder of the S.S. Keewatin
by the Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company of Glasglow, Scotland. It was one of 3800 similar ships built from 1900 to 1920 and is the same class of ship as the Titanic.
After renovations are complete, the ship's new home will be at the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes at Kingston Ont. It will be open to the public for tours, programs and exhibits.
