It is very important to watch the commodity market. This is an area that tells us a great deal of what is taking place. To start, commodity markets are global, hence a reflection of what is taking place on an international scale. Also, it is the what that goes into most products.
In this video I discuss how the macro trends of something like the GSCI (Goldman Sachs Commodity Index) can reveal what is taking place on a macro scale. It is best for investors to monitor this to be able to separate the noice.
