The Darkness - A LIVE Music Review (my love and appreciation for the band!)

Good day to you one and all, it is I SUNSETHUNTER (yes, I stole this from Justin Hawkins Ride's Again!)

To begin, my 'artist' name is 'CHOEY G' which is what I use to release songs, I will drop a link at the end if anyone is interested in having a listen :)

This video is about showing my love and admiration for the English Rock band, The Darkness. I went to see them live on 22/10/22

THE DARKNESS

I will start with an overview about this band. The Darkness are a british rock band, from Suffolk, England. They released their debut album 'Permission To Land' in 2003 and absolutely exploded with their hit single 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love'. If you don't know this band, I'm sure that you would have heard that song! They manage to mix a slightly comedic factor in with playing seriously good rock songs. The lead singer, Justin Hawkins, has an absolutely amazing voice, and live it was even better than on the recordings! That is what impressed me the most, is just how powerful and perfect his vocals are.

I've been playing guitar for almost 20 years now, since around 2004, and The Darkness have been one of those bands that I've always listened to. They are so good (in my opinion). This was one of those gigs that I have come away from with a newfound love and inspiration for music, and really realise that I know what I want to do with the rest of my life, and that is to ROCK! I will start to do some more covers from The Darkness and learn what I can from this awesome band. Well, guitar covers that is, I don't quite have the vocal range! ;) however, I did try to emulate Justin's voice in my post (3 posts ago) where I played 'Love Is Only A Feeling'.
