Hive Open Mic 137 - Healing

First of all, wow, what a theme. I know this is something we can all relate to - the good, the bad, the ugly... we have all expereinced healing time and time again. As we all know, we get through it :) we come out ontop, and we were better than before! That is where the power lies, in the process. Healing comes from being hurt - this can be emotionally, spiritually, physically, or all of them. But without this, is there growth? Sadly, I think that statement is fair. Life isn't about getting hurt and recovering, that isn't my point, but rather to grow as a person, develop, thrive and learn!

I chose to play a melancholic style guitar solo today as I wanted something that I could feel within, and it is usually the slower rock style ballad tracks where I can almost tell a story, or let out the weeks emotions. I'm not going to lie, the past month has been a struggle for me. I won't go into great detail but there are some changes going on in my life and I have to remain strong. We all do, and we always do! Or, well... I do at least. We have all been there, and we can all recovered and are stronger than before - and I feel that is what I am trying to portray in this guitar solo :) starts off slow, mellow, and a little off... then builds up, new excitement, and I end with some tapping where I just let go and feel free. Through my guitar I am shouting FREEDOM haha! With the tapping of course :)
