I don't know if anyone agrees with me on this, I want to believe so, but no matter how much time goes by, no matter how many CoD releases may come out, each one more realistic and visceral than the previous one, Call of Duty Black Ops II is still one of the best CoD games to date, personally, its zombie mode is the only reason why I still choose it over any other CoD, this is obviously a matter of taste, but that's why today I want to remember this great game and bring you a simple and to the point gameplay.

This time, I chose my favorite map for the gameplay, which is Origins, if anyone remembers a map with three giant robots that passed every so often and zombies stuck in giant armor, I'm talking about that, for those who do not know it but like CoD, I invite you to read, maybe you'll find a new hobby.

Let's start from the basics, the zombie mode consists of enduring waves of zombies that will arrive one after the other infinitely, each one will be worse than the previous one, more zombies will come, they will be harder, and in general everything will be more difficult as each wave passes, so it is important to equip yourself well as soon as possible, in small maps the ideal is to use the Mistery Box, a box that gives you a random weapon, until you get something good, apart from buying Perks, which are improvements that you buy in vending machines, such as Quick Revive, which guarantees you an extra life if you are playing alone, and helps you to quickly revive a partner if you play with someone else, as well as this, there are other usable Perks which you can see in more detail in the gameplay of this post.

Origins is one of those big maps with many things to do, and that you will have to study indifferently if you want to have a minimum notion of what to do to advance in the map, because if you just kill zombies with any weapon you find, you will be overcome in a very short time when the first panzer arrives, which is an armored zombie with a flamethrower, imposing enough for you to be careful, unless you know what weapons to use, as I said.

Based on my knowledge, in this map the only weapon worth buying at first is the MP40, with which you can defend yourself pretty well until you activate the 6 generators scattered throughout the map, once activated, you unlock the Pack-A-Punch, with which you can upgrade the weapons you carry, at this point you can take your initial weapon, upgrade it, and you'll get the boomhilda, that gun that did less damage than a water pistol becomes one of the best weapons during the first 12 rounds, Now with this and the MP40 you only have to focus on starting to assemble the 4 elemental staffs, whose 12 pieces are scattered all over the map and divided into, obviously 4 sets, fire, ice, wind and lightning, personally I love the ice staff, but they all do absurd damage and are necessary to achieve the Easter Egg of the map, which would be the closest thing to an "ending" that it has, and is what I would like to achieve sooner rather than later, but for the moment, I have to get used to it again and remember everything I have forgotten about the game, which has been a lot.

No sé si alguien esté de acuerdo conmigo en esto, quiero creer que sí, pero por mucho que pase el tiempo, por muchas entregas de CoD que puedan salir, cada una más realista y visceral que la anterior, Call of Duty Black Ops II sigue siendo de los mejores juegos hasta la fecha, personalmente, su modo zombies es la única razón por la cual lo sigo escogiendo por encima de cualquier otro CoD, esto es cuestiones de gusto obviamente, pero es por eso mismo que hoy desee recordar este gran juego y traerles un gameplay simple y al punto.

En esta ocasión, escogí mi mapa favorito para el gameplay, el cual es Origins, si alguno recuerda un mapa con tres robots gigantes que pasaban cada cierto tiempo y zombies metidos en armaduras gigantes, de ese les estoy hablando, para quienes no lo conozcan pero les gusta el CoD, los invito a pasar, quizá encuentran un nuevo pasatiempo.

Empecemos desde lo básico, el modo zombies consiste en aguantar oleadas de zombies que llegarán una detrás de la otra infinitamente, cada una será peor que la anterior, vendrán más zombies, serán más duros, y en general todo será más difícil conforme pasa cada oleada, por lo que es importante equiparte bien lo más pronto posible, en mapas pequeños lo ideal es usar la Mistery Box, una caja que te da un arma aleatoria, hasta que te salga algo bueno, aparte de ir comprando Perks, que son mejoras que compras en máquinas expendedoras, como el Quick Revive, que te garantiza una vida extra si estás jugando solo, y te ayuda a revivir rápido a un compañero si juegas con alguien más, así como este, hay otros Perks utilizables los cuales pueden ver con mayor detalle en el gameplay de este post.

Origins es uno de esos mapas grandes con muchas cosas por hacer, y que indiferentemente vas a tener que estudiar si es que quieres tener una mínima noción de qué hacer para avanzar en el mapa, ya que si te limitas a matar zombies con cualquier arma que encuentres, te verás superado en muy poco tiempo cuando llegue el primer panzer, que es un zombie blindado con un lanzallamas, lo suficientemente imponente como para que le tengas cuidado, a menos, que sepas cuáles armas usar, como ya dije.

En base a mi conocimiento, en este mapa la única arma que merece la pena comprar de primeras es la MP40, con la cual podrás defenderte bastante bien hasta activar los 6 generadores repartidos a lo largo del mapa, una vez activados, desbloqueas el Pack-A-Punch, con el cual puedes mejorar las armas que lleves encima, en este punto puedes tomar tu arma inicial, mejorarla, y obtendrás la boomhilda, esa pistola que hacía menos daño que una pistola de agua se convierte en una de las mejores armas durante las primeras 12 rondas, ya con esta y la MP40 solo debes enfocarte en empezar a armar los 4 bastones elementales, cuyas 12 piezas están repartidas por todo el mapa y divididas en, obviamente 4 sets, fuego, hielo, viento y rayo, personalmente amo el bastón de hielo, pero todos hacen un daño absurdo y son necesarios para lograr el codiciado Easter Egg del mapa, que sería lo más similar a un “final” que tiene, y es lo que me gustaría lograr más pronto que tarde, pero por el momento, debo acostumbrarme de nuevo y recordar todo lo que he olvidado respecto al juego, que ha sido mucho.
