Yesterday, January 24th, 2024, I turned 24 years old. I have asked many of my Hive friends to guess my age, and many think I am older. Moreover, there is no point in hiding my age, so this is why I am mentioning it now in this post.
On my birthday, I did a few things which was launching a brand that produces educational contents on tech, productivity, finance and motivational. My friend took me out to eat a restaurant, hosted a twitter space, and was celebrated by few of my friends visited me in the evening of my birthday. I received two cakes as a birthday present, and a credit alert from my twin brother. The whole day was filled with wishes, prayers, and calls from friends and family.
The interesting thing about this day is that I launched a brand for content creation, which I titled Gifted Insights, and every piece of content I make from the brand will be published on @iam-gifted. Gifted Insights will not be a one-man thing, but I hope to build a team that will work with me to deliver valuable insights that are gifted, as the name implies.
I woke up to a call from my longtime best friend of 11 years, who said he ordered a cake for me. He planned this with my childhood friend, whom I have also known for the same number of years. I was not expecting a birthday cake, and receiving a cake made the birthday aura.
So this cake marked my first birthday present. It came along with small chops in a container, and I ate it before I remembered to take a picture of it.
@monioluwa came around to visit me early in the morning, and we talked a little about the brand that I launched, "Gifted Insights," and how I planned to continue making content. He said he would contribute to writing the scripts for making my videos, and we would do the whole planning together, i.e., the content calendar, thumbnails, and titles.
We went to eat at a mall that had a restaurant behind it. The restaurant looked really nice. Here are the pictures I took.
When we got to the restaurant, we took a look at their menu, I chose spaghetti and turkey while Monioluwa chose jollof and fried rice with turkey. Each of us got a bottle of water and shared one litre of Hollandia yoghurt.
All we bought cost us $6. The prices were a bit fair and not as expensive as we expected.
In the evening, some of my friends came around to visit me. They sang and wished me happy birthday. It was fun having them. I didn't have much money to celebrate, but instead, I shared the cake I got and also bought some drinks for everyone.
Talking about cakes, I got another cake present from @creativepearl that night. She was just travelling from Ibadan back to school, and she bought a cake when she came around.
The day was awesome, and I appreciate everyone that came around to celebrate the day with me. Thank you all for making the moment.
