Hello Afri-tunes community, Christmas is in a few days from now and I'm super excited about this because it's my favourite time of the year😉. It's also such a privilege to participate in our Christmas event, I want to give a special shout-out to the pioneers of this community (Afri-tunes), the moderators e.t.c. for creating such a beautiful event to commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ....kudos to you guys and more power to your elbows 💪.
For this event I have chosen to do a medley of Christmas songs in my native dialect which is "Yoruba"😊. The songs are "Élu Àgogo" (Ring the bells of Christmas) and "Gbó Ohun" (Hear the sound of angels).
Christmas happens once in a year, a day we remember the grand birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. He was born so that we would have life in abundance, oh! What manner of love our heavenly father bestows on us freely.
I have chosen this songs because they remind me of my childhood days in church, during our Carol service in church....we as kids were always taught Christmas songs to present before the congregation and I remember vividly always leading the children choir. These songs remind me that it's Christmas and Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. Christmas is a season of joy, to make merry because God did...Carol simply is a ballad or song of joy. These songs means a whole lot to me, they give me joy and happiness because this is the season to be jolly and I'm naturally a jovial fellow😊, hence my selection of these songs. These songs are sung in Yoruba but I'd add an English translation for our non-yoruba audience to help them understand the lyrics. I have chosen to express this songs using blues as my focal point and I infused a little bit of jazz to spice things up😉, I do hope you all enjoy 🎧 my entry to this Magnificent event. Merry Christmas everyone 🎄.

NB: I've added the video Source for those who might want to hear the full song and enjoy. The songs are expressed differently by different choirs, mine is no exception so please don't expect the same from me (a solo act), reason why it's a cover....Thank you kindly.
