Been a few days since an update but let me tell you it is a huge one, I have went and done a new layer on the top with admendments. I have went and put some cider chips on the top and covered that with worm castings.
After that I waited a coupler days and ordered a batch of insects or preditory mites and beetles. The bugs I added are as follows,
AtheLiv contains a generalist soil-dwelling predatory beetle, Dalotia coriaria, formerly known as Atheta coriaria. It is best known for its ability to control and prevent fungus gnats but can also be used for preventative control of moth flies, pupating thrips, root aphids, diapausing spider mites and root mealybugs.
SwiLiv
SwiLiv contains mixed population of Amblyseius swirskii mixed with either vermiculite or bran. Swirskii is an aggressive predatory mite that works well for preventing thrips, spider mites, and whiteflies.
CucuLiv
CucuLiv contains mixed population of Neoseiulus cucumeris mixed with either vermiculite or bran. Cucumeris is an economical predator that works well for preventative control of thrips, especially western flower thrips (WFT). It prefers immature stages of thrips and can kill on average 30 young thrip larvae in its lifetime.
For best results, use cucumeris in spring and early summer when temperatures are cooler and swirskii in late summer for thrip prevention.
