Con respecto a la que interpretó hoy, es un canto navideño del género "aguinaldo de parranda". Con su característica música alegre. En el cuatro llevo una rítmica en comás de 2/4 con tresillo de corcheas y luego dos corcheas.
Su letra hace alusión a la costumbre quede tenía de reunirse un grupo de amigos y vecinos con algunos instrumentos musicales reales y otros improvisados "una lata... cualquier palo sirve de charrasca..." e ir de casa en casa cantando aguinaldos y villancicos en una jornada que concluía al amanecer.
En cada casa estos cantores improvisados le cantaban al infaltable pesebre y eran agasajado con hallacas, dulce de lechita y un vinito o un pinche crema.
A veces les esperaba el "plato navideño" consistente en hallaca, pan de jamón y ensalada de fallliba.
Por supuesto que en las últimas casas visitadas ya los parranderos estaban hartos o "jartos" y rechazaban el brindis.
