The passed pawn is a criminal, who should be kept under lock and key. Mild measures, such as police surveillance, are not sufficient.

    Season 2, Round 5

Today was the 5th round of the Hivechess, Hosted by @chessbrotherspro. It was a 5 minutes,2 seconds added time control in an arena format that lasted for 1hr.10mins.
It was played by 19 players and was a very competitive with some interesting games. There was a notable absence with a top player @eniolw not playing today's event.

@jaki01 dominated today's arena with a perfect score winning all his games with a super GM 2788+ performance. He played some fantastic chess and used the beserked button only when he had to. Here is one of the games I enjoyed , with a lot of knight Jumping in the opening, he got an advantage anyway.

    Puzzle of the Tournament

Black just played Ke5?, how does white proceeds?

    My performance

I started very badly losing 4 out of my first 6 games, but I did tried to do well towards the end but it was too late. I finished 8th position, and it could have been worse.

I have my favourite game of the night which is a win in my best opening ever, the scotch gambit. Me and my opponent has played the line severally and for now,my scotch still remains sweet.
